Does anyone outside of A&M consider them the flagship over UT? Seriously asking.

Too bad UT got the Flagship status.

A&M is just another state school like Tech.

Also from 1876 (the Texas Constitution):
quote:

Sec. 13. AGRICULTURAL AND MECHANICAL COLLEGE. The Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas, established by an Act of the Legislature passed April 17th, 1871, located in the county of Brazos, is hereby made, and constituted a Branch of the University of Texas, for instruction in Agriculture, the Mechanic Arts, and the Natural Sciences connected therewith.

I find that interesting. Usually there is only one. Is there a link you could provide to show that?

I’ve never met a Texas A and M fan that didn’t either go there, or parents went there. On the Contrary Texas seems to be the school of general sidewalk fans. By a massive margin. I really don’t mean that as a diss just kinda a perspective on what I’ve noticed with sibling transplants in Houston and Austin.

They absolutely hate the fact that A&M is much older and larger

And considered more prestigious

A&M is the equivalent of a directional school. Noted.
