That night they were pretty bad, inept bad. Bama could drive to or near RedZone and go backwards from there. Made 1 of 5 FGs I believe.
As for the call, they happen and you must play on and put those behind you.

Concur, I did not see him either.

Now show when the players are down. You know, when play actually stops in football.
If two players have possession when they hit the ground, the play ends and it is the offensive player that has it. If the defensive player rolls away with the ball, it is not an interception, and still the offense ball

Offensive player has possession, and is down.

Totally not a rival, right?
Only time Alabama fans think or talk about LSU is the week of the game. We may have a discussion about any SEC team but that does not make us rivals.
LSU is not good enough to be considered a rival, same as Mississippi and Mississippi State.

No doubt about it.

I did consider that when I originally posted the picture, but then on the ground doesn’t change the ambiguity much:
Unfortunately, by rule that goes to the offense.
I hate the rule because sometimes the real catch is made by the defender but if it seems remotely like a tie catch it goes to the offense.

Every team we play in the SEC West is a rivalry. Some are just more important than others. LSU would probably be our third biggest rival in the West behind Auburn and Texas A&M. Once Oklahoma and Texas get here they'll move down another peg as we'll finally have a pair of blue bloods in the conference not named Alabama.

Dual possession, receiver should have been awarded the ball.
But, Bama always gets the calls at critical moments, right?
I was less upset about that than the God awful kicking that easily cost Bama the game.
All that said, even if 21-0 hadn't happened, it still was objectively one of the best games in CFB history. A defensive masterpiece. The offenses seemed much less inept when not facing all-time great Ds.

Yeah, I wasn’t meaning to harp too emphatically on that one play. Just interested in seeing the different interpretations from Bama and LSU fans.
What was the deal with Bama’s kicking game from 2010-2015? Were special teams practice not emphasized, poor coaching, or perhaps lack of in-game FG experience?
As well as Saban recruits, it seems unlikely that it was just a string of bad luck.

One of the CFB world's great mysteries. There simply wasn't any consistency

Eric Reid is now a BLM cuck that probably has CTE and got radicalized by Kaep
That said, have a friend that grew up playing soccer with him, he told my friend the TE for Bama basically just let go of the ball when they hit the ground. Kind of just gave up on the play in other words.

Correct he is down at that point. Re: picture

I don't really care what the official rule was then or even if it's changed at all, the kid punked himself and gave up on the play and deserved the fumble. Nowhere near as egregious as the Peterson interception a couple years prior anyway.

Lol,he's on the ground and has total control. Reid hasn't even started trying to strip at that point.

has total control
not in the slightest. when they hit the ground only one hand was on the ball
There was never full control/possession by either until reid grabs it away
When he is falling at the point where his back hits Reid's knee the ball starts to bobble at the point of impact on the ground it is only touching one hand and is not in control
