Although I've been an AU Tiger since birth - I have spent a majority of my life in Baton Rouge. I have been attending LSU basketball games since the mid 1980's.

I typically try and hit a couple of games per season at the PMAC. My son loves basketball so he and I made a decision this morning to go check out the game. I purchased cheap tickets via SeatGeek up high in the 300 section. LSU had personal combing the 300 sections and were asking the fans to move down to the lower bowl and pick any seat they wanted. Wow....I have never experienced this at the PMAC..... Not to mention that the atmosphere in the PMAC was flat as can be...it was really sad.

I don't know what the answer is for LSU Basketball but I surely hope things get turned around soon...

The team is terrible, all the students are at Mardi Gras. Not sure what you were expecting.

Yep, big Mardi Gras weekend. If the schedule has stayed the same since I was younger (when I reveled in the debauchery), Endymion is today and Bacchus is tomorrow.

Well.. I was expecting to see a LSU team with a little fire in their bellies (USCe had that fire today)

I understand that the students were gone - but I have attended plenty of games there in December with school not in session and there was a much more energetic feel in the arena.

It felt like an open scrimmage....

It's just sad to see where LSU basketball is right now..

Do that many students really leave for the weekend? It’s not far away I’d think they’d go down for a night and come back?

It is sad. I knew this year would be a "challenge" but this is indescribable. Just awful basketball. Fundamentals are bad, can't make layups, can't make free throws...

Today, tomorrow and Tuesday are the big days.

Based on what I saw in person today I agree 100%.

This looks like a team just "going through the motions"

Then to see a team on the other side of the court, with a worse record than LSU, playing excited, motivated, fired up basketball..

Basketball is horrible. But all they were doing was trying to make it look like it wasn't nearly empty for the telecast. No biggie, but glad your kid got closer to the action.

But if you had read this board two months ago LSU was a potential final four team, certainly a lock for high seed. LSUers: at your feet or at your throat…

Does LSU have it in them to fire a first year coach to hire Chris Beard?
