You should go read that old article by the basketball coach at Toledo when Saban was there.
Saban bitched at him one day about the NCAA and the basketball program and the basketball coach embarrassed him in front of the entire staff by calling him out on all the violations he was sweeping under the rug for the football team. The coach works for Bama, he gave $$$, the second the $$$ left his hand Bama knew about it. It's really not complicated, if he hid this fact for one day he should be fired immediately, if he is Bama saves face, if not they dumb

Yes and by terminating his employment will be enough in the eyes of the NCAA.
Pretty stiff punishment for loaning someone money. Granted it does not change the fact that a NCAA rule was broken, but seriously....I don't think the NCAA will do much to the UofA over $200. That's chump change.
