That's fine but you replaced him with a no name that has not connections to HS around the SEC footprint. That is what everyone is laughing at your admin for. He gets beat yearly by BYU and San Jose State. Not like hes going undefeated in that conference like some of the past Boise State coaches would have.

I knew his name. Not sure how so many of these so-called football fans don't know who he is

The rest is irrelevant. I mean, what did you possibly have to judge your HC hire on before this year? Nothing.

Harsin will do well at Auburn. I hope well enough to keep the Ranes and Lowders off of his back.

The honest answer is no he was not a pathetic coach. The truth is the only teams I have worried about playing the last 12 years are Auburn and LSU. If Georgia was on our schedule every year I would include them but they are not.

I love watching Auburn and Georgia play. I could not believe some of the lucky plays that Auburn had over the years to get past Georgia.

Granted, the talent at Auburn and LSU are the main reason I worry about playing them, but it is also coaching.

Miles was solid coach, and great recruiter but made dumb clock mistakes.

I honestly think Coach O is a great recruiter and someone who can motivate young men and with a good enough OC and DC that is 90% of the battle.

Gus and Chizik were both solid coaches and all four(Miles, O, Gus, Chiz) put a solid team on the field that would beat us if we did not play our best game.

The thing in changing a coach is you have to upgrade. If it is not an obvious upgrade you are just wasting money. The new guy may work out, but % chances of it are not great. I honestly hope Auburn does not slide like Tennessee did when they changed coaches because I like competitive games.

With that said Ole Miss, Arky, and Miss State have upgraded their staffs substantially, and LSU is not going anywhere and aTm is building something solid.

Bottom line is the SEC WEST in and of itself could split up and have any of the teams compete for championships in any other league - and that includes the SEC East, ACC, Big Ten, Big 12.

Good Luck because every team is going to need it to compete year in and year out in our competitive league.
