Taking Thigpen with him is big too. Thiggy can recruit.

saw someone else post it, but Kentucky will be open also (they've already begun buyout talks)

Wrong...Todd was the starting QB for Auburn for a portion of the 2008 season...

Cam had already won a NC before Malzahn, and had nearly as high a completion rate and passer rating as he did at Auburn, before he got to Auburn. Malzahn rode him and did great with an already developed QB. Mosely, Trotter, those guys have been under him, he had a chance to develop those guys. He didn't get it done. He's great when he's got talent given to him. Not so much in developing it from the get go.

One and done for Malzahn, and you proved my point, he was a starter at some point already.

All I know is Chris Todd had tremendous improvement from 2008 to 2009...when Malzahn arrived.

Your statement of saying he can't develop a QB is just dumb...he has never had the opportunity to work with a starting QB for more than one year...

Your statement of saying he has is dumber, when you then say he's never had anyone for more than a year.

I get the low stress solution, but why in the hell would he take a step down?

Trotter- not a fit for his offense. Not recruited by him.

Moseley- recruited as a career backup who may contribute. Ceiling is low.

Because a JuCo really develops a QB What about Randall Mackey and Brent Shaeffer?

We've been through this, stop being rantarded.

Where did I say he was a great QB developer? I only argued it was dumb of you to say he can't...especially since he has never had a QB for more than one year...the only example I gave was Chris Todd from 2008 minus Malzahn to Chris Todd 2009 plus Malzahn?

Psh, get paid $1M to just be an offensive Coord. I don't care which direction that step is, it sounds great.

Still guys that's been with him for multiple years that he wasn't able to develop. If they weren't a good fit, I guess he/they should have recruited QB's better, ya think?

I think Troopha got heckled pretty bad when he came to watch DGB at Razorback Stadium earlier this year. I don't think he would be very welcome at Arkansas in the future.

It's not dumb to say, if he never has. How many yrs has he been coaching in Div 1? 6 now? You think it's not odd that in 6 yrs, an OC hasn't had a chance to develop a QB, even for 2 yrs running? He's great at one and dones, but now that he's had to play someone that he's had to coach for more than one yr and wasn't already accomplished or a starter, he can't do it. Maybe he will in the future, but to date, he hasn't.
