The 49'ers are the NFL's version of Dumb and Dumber. Trading Harbaugh for a high school coach makes no sense.

And Gus did take a cut in pay and abandon Gene Chizik so he can go to Arkansas stAte for the long term and deliver them to the level of Boise State, so making sense really isn't a factor in the equation. I see your point.

When you are involved, I agree. A rational person would look at it as a coach climbing the ladder in his profession.

It has nothing to do with me. Gus is the one who left Auburn with the goal of converting stAte to Boise status.

Any coach who says they're going to bring stAte to the same level of play as Boise is either having delusions of grandeur or lying.

How so? I'm no expert in the workings of the educational system (

It doesn't matter how great Boise State is. And I don't think Gus was having delusions. I'm thinking Gus left Auburn knowing damn well what would happen to Chizik without his offense. Then he knew he could get the job as head coach. He's smart but he's also smoke and mirrors.
