Honestly, I get it if he was hurt a bit and didn't think he would make it off the field in time. All he had to do was sit down. He didn't have to act like his knee had been blown out by a shotgun. Hell, it is the act that gives one the impression certain things have been "coached up".

you nailed it, imo... dude was gimpy after the tackle. There was no need to oversell it, just take a knee and the refs will blow the whistle.

certainly no need to suspend people like the retarted OP is suggesting.

So if he just sits down without the theatrics bert and bama fans don't go crazy

It wouldn't be near as funny, and probably forgotten before the end of the game.

I agree. I think the theatrics were absurd. But i'm not convinced he wasn't injured.

You really have been kind of a ball licker since you have returned. Your option of course, but it doesn't take balls to bring the hammer down on someone you have authority over if he deserves it.

Let me ask you this. Do you make conclusive decisions with so few facts in your line of work too?

Didn't say he didn't tell an assistant to tell a player to fake an injury

you can't be serious.

good thing gus knows how to throw kids under the bus.

in less than 5 years gus will implode. The main reason Arkansas didn't want him was because of how much baggage he carries with him. He's a great coach, but he can't work with other coaches and is a ticking time-bomb.

he'll be fine the first year or two, but he'll start manipulating everyone and everything auburn after that.

Yikes...that's some personal shite with gus right there.

Let's keep it on the topic of the swain injury, no need for the 'gus is da devil' arky anthem.

You and I are obviously looking at things through two different spectrums of lights. You also must have missed all the shite talking I did to Miss St and the Pig Farmers last week.

i still don't see what advantage we gained. Should have limped off, but you play within the loopholes, limp off play short, fall down get a sub.

A comment and question...

It does not matter if you get an advantage. the point is you TRIED to get an advantage.

That said, did Swain miss the 4th quarter? I saw some insinuating he did. if so, it would appear as if he was hurt. I mean, no coach is going to tell one of their better players to fake an injury, then keep him out of the rest of the game, would he?

That said, I recall that Georgia was accused of the exact same thing against Clemson. In fact, the videos look EXACTLY alike. Almost freaky.

Hasn't Gus had a group of guys follow him from last job to this one?

S&C coach
Rhett
Offensive line coach

If he's so hard to work with, why follow him all over the place?

he did not play the rest of the game.

I think he was hurt, i think he unnecessarily made a meal out of it. But that's just my opinion.

I dont' know if just sitting down as opposed to his knee grab would have been looked on with any better light, in regards to this place at least (and i don't think anyone outside of this place really cares).
