Do any of the faculty at Bama get statues for achievement?

I'm sure if a department had the funding to do so, they would be more than welcome to. Don't act like we took away from tuition dollars for this shite. Now

"Dumbass. All coaches at Bama that win a NC get a statute."
If this is the case, does Gene Stallings have a statue?....he won a title for the gumps long before Saban....

No, and neither do Bear Bryant or Frank Thomas or Wallace Wade.
Wait a minute.....

Every coach gets a statue when they win a NC.
Is it just football or do all coaches at Alabama that win a national title get a statue?

Yes he does.
Lets repeat this AGAIN....EVERY ONE OF THE COACHES WHO HAVE WON A FOOTBALL NC AT ALABAMA HAVE HAD A STATUE PUT UP IN THEIR HONOR. An empty pedestal was reserved for the NEXT coach to win one...which will now be filled by Saban's statue.

Were there statues of the coaches before the Walk of Champions? Not flaming, just something I've wondered for awhile, and never thought to ask.

That statues weren't there yet before the WOC. They were added when the WOC was built

How is it set up for additional spots? Is there room for another statue down the road, or will the current set-up(I think the brickwork kind of forms a half circle around them if I'm not mistaken) have to be re-worked?

I know Alabama's constitution is a joke and all, but a statute?....really? .... a statute?

Coach Stallings and family approves this message....
Coach Thomas and family
Coach Wallace Wade and family
Coach Bryant and family
Ariel view of the National Championship Coaches showing the empty section on the end reserved for the next National Championship Coach, which is now Coach Saban.
The statues of Stallings, Paul Bryant, Frank Thomas and Wallace Wade were unveiled and dedicated in the fall of 2006 when Bryant Denny's new North endzone was completed. They were part of a grand plaza outside the new endzone that gave BD Stadium a grand entrance from University Boulevard.
They also will have to add a new marble 2009 National Championship plaque to the walk and a new marble 2009 SEC Championship plaque to the walk. The NC plaques run down the middle of the Walk of Champions and the SEC Champ plaques are on each side of the walk. (Notice they left plenty of room for many of these.

There is actually room for another spot to be made next to Coach Saban's spot. After that, they would probably be added across from the current statues. There's room for several more there.

The new 2009 National Championship flag is already flying from the top of Bryant Denny.
The flags are left up all year round?
LSU just puts theirs up on gameday and takes them down before the game is even over.

I'm not advocating statue clutter, but why do only football coaches at Alabama get statues?
Posted on 3/11/10 at 12:19 pm to Porky
I do not really care one way or the other. I think it would be perferable to wait a while before adding the statue until Saban retires or leaves, but whatever.
I will however laugh at the 13 title plaques. That is a total joke and the administration for the University of Alabama is pathetic for making that claim. And it is not like anyone believes them. Everyone outside of Alabama just thinks they are idiots for make believe title claims.

We have been awarded more national championships by major polls than any other school in the entire country, and that number doesn't include the Rose Bowl championships and undefeated seasons in the pre-poll era. Since we have the most anyway, I think we can claim however many we want. You can go snuggle up next to your half of a championship that Alabama Polytechnic Institute won in 1957 and brag about how Auburn is a family and is happy beating Bama 7 out of 10 years. Auburn fans have no business even mentioning Alabama's National Championships.
