It doesn't matter if we were there. WE DON'T WANT HIM. Why are you trying to force him on us?

Like I said I do not know who created the rumor but how everything played out I am sure there was some dark arts behind it.

You guys think you save the program from a mediocre coach is hilarious.
The truth is you made Knoxville a place that most coaches who value job security will avoid.

Its difficult to talk to an angry mob going about their "witch trials".

Tennessee dropped a lot of notches in my book today. Really incredible how sad they are.

Schiano seems like a good hire and I don't think Tennessee has a ton of choices. If they had more choices, I'd imagine they would have never ended up with Derek Dooley or Butch Jones, then you add in Lane Kiffin dropping them after only 1 season....what the hell is wrong with Tennessee? I'm sort of seeing what that problem may be.

I mean you’re right. Who to say John Gruden wouldn’t have been good? It’s been 10 years. Honestly, the thing that iterates me the most with y’all is that you guys actually think your a top 5 program. you’re Arguably not even a top 20 program. Tennessee will never ever be what they were. There was a time where I pulled for Tennessee. That time has come and gone. Btw I hope Gruden is still a done deal?

Let me put it to you this way: I think Kiffin is a douchebag who lit the fire that destroyed our program and I would rather hire him back than hire a man with this baggage.

Maybe certain Tennessee fans really thought they were doing the correct thing.
I know for sure Clay Travis was not one. It is power to him. He saw the rumors and blew them up to prove to the world he has that ability to do so.

Never had anything against Tennessee. Miss them beating up on Bama

I think Lane came into Knoxville and gave Tennessee some balls again.
They went right after Bama and if it wasn't for a blocked FG would have beaten Bama.
USC gave him the job because of what he did in Knoxville. Nothing against Tennessee but USC may be the best job in the country.
I think Lane walking away bruised your ego. Do not know if any Tennessee coach has went to another program from Tennessee before but maybe by bringing Lane back they can repair the damages.

Lane vs Nick Saban would be fun. Need more coaches who want to piss on Bama in the SEC.

Every time I think Tennessee can't become a bigger dumpster fire, another pocket of gas ignites, blasting the landscape with toxic fumes.

They weren't.

Its incredibly scary there are so many people so willing to submit to this "mob justice" through the internet and social media. Its unfair, and sad.
Being innocent in court means nothing in Tennessee and anyone and everyone is guilty by association NO MATTER WHAT.

This is Mizzou all over again.

It is not just Tennessee and Missouri it is the entire United States.

Propaganda is being used to justify anyone's viewpoint. Especially in sports and politics.

Beginning of the new Dark Ages is upon us. Do not worry who needs reason and logic when you have the power to control the thoughts of others.

UT just hire Kevin Steele. I think the man deserves another HC opportunity. He will prolly win the Broyles this year and is a UT alum. If nothing else, he could be like an elder statesmen to guide your program through this madness for a few years. I am positive he would take the job and by all accounts he is a fantastic person off the field.

Remember there are still a lot of Joe PA apologist out there.

McQuery is the rythmic slapping smoking gun that makes him look bad

Kirk is an apologist and if you are the leading expert on this case as the author claims you likely aren't into for kids defense. Likely author is a Joe PA apologist

If it was Urban Meyer who had this kind of baggage the Tennessee faithful would have no problem making this hire

They didn’t want him because he’s a shitty coach. They used the child rape thing to justify it. If Jon Gruden has the same Sandusky rumors surrounding him they wouldn’t give a shite. How does anyone not get this?

Exactly.

But it’s not the big name hire they want...so, let’s kill this man’s life.
