What I've heard is that the support of Sankey is primarily based on leadership from Tennessee and Georgia.

Those two programs more than any are responsible for what's happened.

I'm pretty sure that Kirby Smart doesn't support Greg Sankey. I guess it's possible UGA's athletic director is supporting Sankey, but if he likes his job he should probably keep Kirby happy.

In terms of the general direction of the past 10+ years, then he should be fired.

But I'm not sure if he is the problem, or if it's the schools being greedy. If it's the schools, then the problem is deeper.

We've sold out to ESPN and now the sport is about what ESPN wants.

I still remember hearing the playoff idea being pitched by Herb on ESPN back in the day, and then next year - omg, what do you know, we get what he talked about. What a coincidence.

You are completely wrong.

Sankey would be out today if not for the backing of Tennessee and Georgia. Both have put their necks out to support Sankey and support the decisions he's made.

It has really fricked the SEC.

Not about what I said. Kirby Smart does not support Sankey. He's been a vocal critic of the 9 game SEC Schedule, on multiple occasions. He also may be the only SEC head coach to ever call out the SEC commissioner in a loud and angry tone from the podium of the SEC championship game. And Sankey, for his part of those proceedings didn't have a kind word to say about the new SEC champion football team. In fact, he acted like he didn't even want to be there. Not sure why the commissioner would treat his ardent supporters like that.

The guy that just got pantsed in an NCAA eligibility hearing by the Louisville coach? This is well beyond pathetic and getting deep into gay territory.

One day LSU fans may figure out that the commissioner does what the schools want.

Until then, stay mad.

You’re right. The schools negotiated the TV deal with ESPN that you brought up.

You brought it up?

You’re criticizing Sankey’s actions & defending Sankey because LSU makes you unable to see straight.

Stay dumb.

If he liked Georgia, he should've had the zebras calling all of Alabama's flagrant "no call" infractions. If they'd done that Alabama would've had many more penalties. Instead, they had fewer yards than Georgia once again.

And he should've had them call anything against Bama vs Georgia in 2025. For those two meetings the penalty total was 145 penalty yds for Georgia to 20 for Alabama. I guess in your opinion it would've been 200 to zero if Sankey wasn't helping Georgia.

I like what Stankey is doing to LSU as they should be held accountable for lacking institutional control, but other than that, he sucks.
