To be fair we do care about winning a lot, we just don’t do it so much.

Let's see, an SEC homer that was a QB for Alabama (Who mastered in handing the ball off) takes a jab at Clemson and FSU who compares them to SEC schools should not be mentioned on an SEC message board? You do realize that Clemson plays one of those teams that will teach us X's and O's in about 6 weeks?

Too much Cock on the brain

Anything related to Clemson should be kept off this board. The only good part of you posting is the rest of the SEC sees what we have to put up with 365 days a year. Ya'll are a special bunch.

Stop arguing McCarron is on the same planet as Watson. It's not a good look.

Clearly not the point of the counter. Watson is better than everyone.

As a follower of your work, Farmer, I wasn't quite sure why the quick response to find something in a thread about Clemson and Alabama QBs that is usually reserved for defense of the Ags..........but then I remembered.

Greg has ruined Aggy's plan to sneak up on Clemson from behind. Now they'll have to buy them dinner beforehand.

What makes a team, a SEC team? The last 40 years of performance?

ALA king of all, case closed.
AUB solid history and been very good recently.
LSU strong history but not much lately.
UGA current East king..but historically speaking solid not outstanding.
TENN great history but...nothing this century.
FLA outside of Spurrier and Urban's time not much to brag about.

The rest ......they not really SEC MATERIAL.

Vandy is Duke without basketball history
Mizz 2 sec east titles which is nice but kind of shows where the east has been more than it show how strong Mizz is.
Kentucky = UNC
The 2 Miss schools = NCST and UVA
Ark only championship is 50 years ago.
TAM huge money but not much real history
USC no real history,1 conf championship and a .500ish overall record.

Clemson is not a historically a SEC type school but certainly would be in the upper half of the current SEC lineup.

Even if he wasn't on the Texans, I would share the same opinion. It is just much more obvious after seeing him play up close and in person.

Bama fans don't need to get rustled if someone takes a shot at Bama's QBs not being that good. Saban has built a machine that makes their job a whole hell of a lot easier. He rarely if ever puts a dynamic player behind center. IDK if it by choice or not, but it seems like he's shifting away from that with Tua (Hurts was dynamic running, but he was lacking in other areas).

Oh yea, he's a gawd. He's incredible.

Nobody is rustled - it's just interesting to note that guys who only know how to hand off put together better seasons than everyone in Clemson's high flying offense outside of Deshaun (who, as previously mentioned, is a GAWD).

But you're also using a stat that ignores rushing and heavily factors in completions (should benefit a QB who's asked to do less).

So instead of being good at handing off to RBs, Clemson's non-Watson QBs were good at handing off to themselves. Sounds like a wash.

The point of his post was McElroy never passed. Which was pretty dumb to say. And really we're just talking about Tajh Boyd, because Kelly Bryant is clearly trash.

He was 58th in '09 & 66th in '10 even though he played more games than most QBs. He wasn't asked to pass that much. Ingram and Richardson were 11th and 15th in rushing attempts. Boyd was 11th, 27th, and 22nd in his 3 years of play.

It's okay to have a dominant running game. But that usually means your QB hands it off more than those it around.

McElroy was bad in 2009, but he was pretty good in 2010. And he threw a lot that year without much issue.

I still wanna murder him for being such a doucher though.

South Carolina is a perfect team for the SEC. Every league needs jobbers.
