In that Major Wright play he led with the crown of the Helmet, simply call spearing, no need for new targeting rules

Had he flew in with the crown of his shoulder pads, he still knocks the ball loose and the hit is just as violent and effective

Holy shite what is wrong with you? He led directly with his shoulder

Am I taking crazy pills? Or am I falling into a troll trap? From of all people a fricking Georgia Tech fan

He’s a tech fan. That means he doesn’t understand football.

You might wanna rewatch that clip and watch til the end when they show the close up he turned his body a quarter turn and led with his Helmet

I do understand CFB, and I do have good eyes

after edit:

I just watched 2 more times Wright initiated contact with the top of his Helmet to the chin-facemask area of the WR, maybe you clicked on the wrong link and looked at the wrong video clip

I definitely did, Brown said he has no recollection of it

I was certainly glad to see him get up. You could tell by the way he went down, he was out cold.

No flags, perfectly legal hit at the time. Some say that particular hit triggered the no targeting rules that we have now. I'm sure it at least contributed to their formation.

Junior really took out two receivers with that hit. Reggie Brown was out of the rest of the game and Fred Gibson came down with a case of T-Rex arms.

Can we go back a few years (to the 20th century)?

Biscuit’s sack against Notre Dame
