Thanks. Me and my brothers have always loved that pic. Leather helmets, no facemask and a "Heismanesque" pose. He was a senior QB in the single wing (blocking back that called the plays), played both ways. The play was a 16 yard pass and the receiver lateraled the ball to my dad for his first (maybe only) TD. You couldn't ask for any more than that!

stallings won an nc at alabama, but his best work was with john mark and the way that he involved his son everyday in his life.

OP, Great balanced post my man..there are some absolute gems in there from every team for sure..very nice for a change on here..very damn nice
And fwiw I "hate" bama and most of the fan base (except my poor misguided wife and a few posters on here including you..sometimes haha) but those pictures of Gene and John Mark are just plain awesome..and I will ALWAYS love the how alive Alabama made John Mark feel...and will always love just how special he was to the entire university..and that is all inconsequential rivalry bullsh*t put aside..
