Let's call the home office in Birmingham and let them have a look see at the replay.
Well there you have it, knee was down.

Meh, They missed calls all day. It's a testament to our players and coaches that they overcame what they did. Owens crew clearly wanted the rebs to win but we got it done. Two tds that should have never happened for the rebs.
Oh well.
Moving on. Ole miss game is done for this year.

You lost because we are a better team..
Just so I get this straight. Last year, Alabama lost because we were the better team right? Or do you believe Alabama beat themselves?
I want to make sure I understand your logic.

What's sad is that I know you're serious.

Dear Lord you are daft. As in short bus stupid daft. You are trying to skew it to your side without know shite about the rules. Read below and maybe you will understand.
quote:
KEY ELEMENTS Target—to take aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with an apparent intent that goes beyond making a legal tackle or a legal block or playing the ball. Crown of the Helmet—the top portion of the helmet. Contact to the head or neck area—not only with the helmet, but also with the forearm, fist, elbow, or shoulder—these can all lead to a foul. Defenseless player—a player not in position to defend himself.
Examples (Rule 2-27-14):
A player in the act of or just after throwing a pass.
A receiver attempting to catch a pass, or one who has completed a catch and has not had time to protect himself or has not clearly become a ball carrier.
A kicker in the act of or just after kicking a ball, or during the kick or the return.
A kick returner attempting to catch or recover a kick.
A player on the ground.
A player obviously out of the play.
A player who receives a blind-side block.
A ball carrier already in the grasp of an opponent and whose forward progress has been stopped.
A quarterback any time after a change of possession.
After reading that do you now understand why you are beyond stupid? The same reason why Reuben Foster wasn't and should not ever be considered being flagged for his much more violent helmet to helmet his in Kelly is why your first picture shows how utterly STUPID you are.

It's clear we disagree on things here. I think it says something about you that this is the route you go to express disagreement.
I'll play along with your continued argument, even though you're clearly wrong.
You pointed out the rules (as I already had, but whatever). They state:
I think you are mistakenly assuming one has to be guilty of all of these. The image I posted (and did again below for your convenience) shows a player straight up launching himself at a ball carrier and obviously making helmet to helmet contact with the crown of his helmet. It is the definition of
quote:.
to take aim at an opponent for purposes of attacking with an apparent intent that goes beyond making a legal tackle
Either way, the missed call had zero impact on the game. The better team won.

Solid 3 day meltdown.
More like 2 years and a week. Losing to Ole Miss was driving us crazy. I'll own it.
Thank God that is finally over.

Refs were terrible
Agreed. But they are responsible for a lot on the field and have to see a lot.
My friend got into college reffing a couple of years ago. He and other refs go over the rules at least once a week.
