I agree with the author in that Texas doesn't deserve to be aligned with the prestige of the SEC....

"Aggies fans take a good look. Texas has come to the realization that they are now what they have feared the most, the “Little Brother” and this is their desperate attempt to regain alpha status. We should all point and laugh at the hypocrisy. It is a joke, much like the Longhorns program over the past decade. Why would the SEC want such a floundering operation anyway?"

I approve this message. The worm has definitely turned and it's hilarious.

The Aggies talk a lot about wanting to beat Texas.... now it looks like they want to avoid playing them.

If there were a transfer portal for entire programs, the Longhorns would be permanent guests. And maybe that’s where they belong, stuck in limbo until some unsuspecting conference opens a door for them. Let’s hope it’s not the SEC.

Some get it. Texas is a cancer, that has killed one conference, and has been slowly killing another

Aggies worried all the goodwill from joining the SEC would go away
Sad

If the SEC doesn't become super conference
Does the Big Ten swoop in and pick up both OU and Texas
Than what?
SEC raids ACC but Fla St and Clemson and GA Tech might be blocked

Why the hell is everyone so obsessed about A&M over this?

I don't give a shite about A&M, Texas can suck a dick. I like playing against them, but I don't want them to be a conference member, having any influence in the SEC or even trying to suggest shite.

Every conference they are in falls apart, and every time they are the reason.

Oklahoma is welcome.

The Longhorns now want to align themselves with a third conference since 1995? They are becoming the vagabonds of college football.
The same can be said for Texas A&M and Mizzou.

Weak piece.

Pseudo military academy acting like a bunch of scared bitches.

How are we a “pseudo military academy”?

The Corps is less than 2% of the student body.

Please explain Mizzou. We FORMED the MVC, then renamed it after a split because of name competition to the Big 6, then 7, then 8. We foolishly invited 4 Texas teams to form the Big 12. Then saw the parasite was eating the host(us), and left. We left 1 conference, everything else was a name change going back to 1907.
Just a bit of added history: we joined a conference that had been approaching us for decades to join.

No one fears losing to you clowns, just the self-important jackassery you bring.

Texas is that 7 sister-in-law that thinks she's a 10, insists everything be done exactly as she wants, never shuts up about herself, and gets obnoxiously drunk at family gatherings.

Please explain Mizzou.

Mizzou football affiliation

Big 8 - 1995
Big 12 - 1996-2011
SEC - 2012-Present

As I said, Mizzou and Texas A&M are on their 3rd conference since 1995. A TAMU writer attempting to take a shot at Texas for joining their 3rd conference since 1995 is a little hypocritical.

No one in the Big 8 viewed the Big 12 as anything other than the Big 8 growing. The Texas schools didn't think otherwise, either, or it might have been called the Big Southwest or something.
So you view the b1g as a wholly new conference from the Big10?

Narrative over history? By your reckoning, Mizzou has been in 6 conferences since 1920-ish. You should go all in on your narrative, at least.

No one in this conference is scared of a team that can't beat Iowa State.

The worm really has turned

I don't see Texas being able to compete in the SEC, I can't think of a single team in the West that I'm sure they'd beat

They better hope Sark is the answer to their prayers but I think the problem is their program, not the coaches

The Big 12 was a completely separate entity from the Big 8.

Although the Big 12 was essentially the Big Eight plus the four Texas schools, the Big 12 regards itself as a separate conference and does not claim the Big Eight's history as its own.

Even if I conceded that Big 12 v1.0 was the Big 8 plus 4 SWC schools, the statement that I was criticizing was this from an A&M writer:
The Longhorns now want to align themselves with a third conference since 1995? They are becoming the vagabonds of college football.

That same statement can be applied to TAMU, can it not?
