But Oregon would also still have a loss. Why would they go above Alabama if Oklahoma State couldn't? By beating a bad UCLA team in a championship game?

Better loss, would've provided another option for the anti-rematch crowd, and their name "Oregon" is bigger than Oklahoma St. I don't think anybody would have expected Alabama to be in over Oregon had Oregon not played LSU and their only loss was to USC.

Saban's nose is so brown for kissing every body's arse that might get a re-match! Bama shouldn't get a re-match as they lost in t-town & didn't win their Con! If the equation was reversed u can bet your arse LSU wouldn't get a re-match!!!

Agreed and I have a problem with that. Fortunately, for Bama it was Oklahoma State rather than Oklahoma.

Too bad LSU scheduled that Oregon game.

The Big 12 is 6-1 in bowl games

With marquee wins against the likes of Washington (barely, in a joke of a game), Cal, Iowa, Northwestern, Stanford (barely, but props), and North Carolina. That's why a ton of people don't "put stock" in bowl records.

But LSU isn't the historical premier team in the premier conference like Bama is. We are entitled.

But in all seriousness, we would certainly be having a rematch if Bama would of won the first meeting. The real problem is their is a lot of insecure, butthurt LSU fans like you cajunjj.

This conversation is not happening this morning if the Standford kicker wasn't worse than the Bama kickers. Missing those 2 kicks late in the game gift-wrapped the game to OK State. It's pretty shameful that OK State is even bringing this up, but I think it's really just media types.

Gundy couldn't even bring himself to really say anything at all to politic OK State when the sideline reporter asked him about a possible split title in the interview right after the game. I thought that was telling and pretty classy by Gundy that he wasn't going to go down that road.

Yea I think it's pretty funny that some of the media types can't think a little for themselves. If a freshman kicker from Stanford makes a straight on 34 yard fg, everybody forgets about Oklahoma St. But now because Ok St eeked it out we're going to stir the pot some? Anybody with a football IQ higher than zero can see how horrid those defenses are. Alabama and LSU both play incredible defense (obviously) and both scored right around 40 points a game when they weren't playing each other this year.

Wow. A logical Bama fan.

This is exactly right, BTW.

Anyone who watched Oklahoma State struggle against a mediocre defense last night and still thinks that they could have succeeded any better than Arkansas or Georgia did against LSU needs to check into rehab.

One more W and LSU is the undisputed National Champions and unfortunately for the SEC(1-1,SEC 2011 BCS Bowl record) Alabama is the sacrificial lamb this time.

I'd prefer some new meat and the opportunity to dominate another conference champion but the overlords at ESPN preferred Bama and Saban wasn't going to squander this golden oppotunity because it may be several years before he can get Penn State into the BCSNCG.

After watching OSU, Bama is the No. 2 team in the country. If there was a playoff LSU would have destroyed Stanford and Bama would have Destroyed OSU. So Stop with all the OSU should be playing in the BCS NC game crap.

OSU would not beat the Ducks much less Bama.
OSU=2nd best no defense team in America.
