b/c it wasn't a conference game... this isn't rocket science baw.

What the hell does that matter? Are you saying you should play a conference game during a hurricane? You really think having people drive into Gainesville for a game, while people are driving through Gainesville as an evacuation route is a smart move? Damn you hillbillies.

Y'all are some whiny asses. Let it play out. There's a lot of options to play this game. Reports are that your AD is the one chickening out on any common sense ones.

h...Not quite. Alleva was quoted today as saying there was no discussion of Monday in Gainesville

And what difference would that make? It could have been played today if they had a plan in place early last week. With how things worked out, today no different than tomorrow.

The game was well inside the hurricane zone," Sankey said Saturday on the SEC on CBS Game of the Week. You still want Florida to play a football game?

I read it somewhere, but I can't link it because I'm driving to help the Gainesville area recover. Oh wait, I mean North Carolina, since not a damn thing happened in Gainesville.
But seriously, the point is, foley said the game was going to be played in Gainesville on Saturday. End of discussion. He lied. Alleva offered options including playing in Gainesville. They chickened out. I always thought gator tastes like chicken and this confirms it.

You clearly are not capable of understanding the moving parts with your institutions incompetence and corruption. Go hook up with your sister or something while the adults talk.

If you even saw 5 minutes of that game, you know it was stupid as frick to play it. Bad example.

You see the idiocy we have to deal with talking to LSU fans? They want us to schedule a game during a Cat 4 hurricane while people are heading west for their lives. Then they use the example that other teams played the game, when those that did should not have.

Who the hell wants to play in that shite and endure a very long weather delay to boot? Imagine if someone would have been killed in this game yesterday. NCState AD must have consulted with LSU fans.

1). Hurricane was well past you on Saturday AM. Skies were bright blue in Gainesville

2). Today is also bright and shiny

3) Tomorrow is also going to be fantastic weather

This is a stupid article. Any school in the South worth is salt has a contingency plan for a hurricane threatening on a game weekend.

UForfeit didn't want to play the game and used the Hurricane as an excuse. That's the story hear.

Nothing else to see.

Dodd misses the factual points.

UF did make a decision on Thursday based on safety...but only because they didn't make the decision when they needed to.

The decision was discussed and needed to be made on TUESDAY. At that point their only viable options were to move the game to Baton Rouge to guarantee that it would be played OR to move the game to Sunday or Monday in the hopes that the hurricane damage would not be severe and that would be possible. They chose neither. The decision to not move to BR was not a safety decision. It was a COMPETITIVE decision.

The problem is that Florida thinks its a special snowflake that doesnt have to deal with this type of thing the way others have had to. LSU moved a game in the wake of a weather event to Arizona and to a Monday for UT. We moved the North Texas game to our bye week because our bye matched theirs. We did not ask Arizona state to forfeit a home game because we didn't want to move the game. We didn't ask North Texas to ditch a home game to accommodate us. Why...because the hurricane hit us...not them. The only team that had to do anything to accommodate us was Tennessee who had to play on a Monday and drive in and out on the same day. Thats it.

Florida wants us to dump a home game...because they decided they didn't want to lose one to a hurricane.

Who the fukk are you to tell us to play on Sunday? Ya'll are the nomads that have to play on a Sunday or Thursday or go play out West. We don't come down to your level. You need to come up to our level. Y'all have to play in other cities because your own fans don't want to stay in that cesspit.

YOU ARE NOT US! You don't run UF and you certainly don't make the schedule. You are insignificant in the SEC. Your team is insignificant especially this year because you are losers. You don't run the show, UF runs this shite. We are SECe defending champions, still in contention for the East. You're in contention for another coach. Eat it.

Again, I've conceded UF should have had a plan to play Sunday or Monday but all these arguments about games being played in Miami and Tampa yesterday are just stupid to anyone that can look at a map.

The games played in Tampa and Miami are relevant for 2 reasons:

1. For some reason, one of florida's main arguments is players' families affected by the storm. Those games also featured many, many players with families living in areas affected by the storm.

2. The teams involved in those games came up with a contingency plan early on in the week, when it was very obvious there was a huge potential problem heading in that direction, to get the games played. Florida refused to do that.

Is this the point where i should tell you that LSU wins out they will go the SEC Championship if we get to play the UF game.

...and that you are on your 3rd coach in how many years?

The sun was shining all week when LSU postponed the N Texas game too. WTF does that have to do with people laying on your campus after they evacuated? You understand why you postponed that game but you don't understand why not to postpone this game?

Let's say the game was today. When were you guys expecting to fly in? Where were you looking at staying? Were you thinking of flying in this morning and flying out tonight because you still can't find hotel space? Did you expect our players to help board up their families houses then come back on time for the game? Did you expect the 600,00 people without power to fire up generators to watch the game?

Like I said before... Just because your fans are use to no electricity and running water and can't wait to get out of BR doesn't mean our fans do. You are not us. Never will be us.

False. The only other comparable situation was UCF and their game was postponed.

Miami is not a comparable because it was clear relatively early that the storm would bypass Miami. The storm would not have been a CAT4 upon hitting NC or SC. Not a comparable.

Post a link where the USF game came up with a contingency plan.

The Miami game too for that matter.
