Mostly wrong points in this tear jerking post,Tony. But why did you fail to mention LSU offered to fly in and out of Gainesville Sunday or Monday?

I wonder where those people might have needed to evacuate to. I can tell you that my family who did evacuate Jacksonville found no available lodgings in Gainesville.

Yeah, I realize gainesville isn't on the coast but to just assume it would have been business as usual in Gainesville if the surrounding areas had gotten fricked up is just being unrealistic.

Again, I've conceded UF should have had a plan to play Sunday or Monday but all these arguments about games being played in Miami and Tampa yesterday are just stupid to anyone that can look at a map.

The reason the game had to be cancelled in my opinion because of the unknown.

Science predicted that Gainesville was never going to get much affect from this storm. Mass media hysteria that gets historically strong TV ratings prior to hurricanes hitting is the primary reason for all the uneducated, ignorant rants by the media and Florida admins.

Again, Gainesville was far enough west of the coast that it was never, ever going to get anything, but mid-range Tropical storm like conditions for a few hours on Friday at most.

Almost all hurricanes shift east of the projected path once they hit L 25 N. This storm followed suit.

Foley played on the mass media hysteria. He got his wish to not play the game with an injured roster. There was absolutely no reason why this game was not postponed to today. None, other than fear of playing the game and getting an unfair advantage in the SEC East race.

Great. So was it just incompetence on their part or shrewd tactics?

Right. To Sunday or Monday . Still waiting for a logical response from you as to why that could not have happen.

I already gave you a logical response. The hurricane was coming through on Thursday. No one knew how severe it would be. If you reschedule the game for Sunday or Monday PRIOR to the hurricane mind you, how bad/stupid would you look if the hurricane actually tracked west and the east coast got decimated with significant loss of life? What if UF campus would have been turned into a triage like LSU's campus was? Do you know how bad UF would have looked to have reschedule the game this week? LSU had the advantage of Katrina already taking place. Even then the game had to be postponed. You cannot play a game with people in mourning on your front doorstep. That is why UCF postponed their game as well. Think...

Mine either, but it's pretty clear that LSU fans would have been perfectly happy to take rooms away from evacuees.

Foley just wanted to troll the rant, IMHO.

You aren't that simple minded are you? It's a contingency plan subject to the intensity of the storm. Had it caused severe destruction you cancel or further postpone but no reason to not have a plan to play on Sunday or Monday subject to the storm. Just admit that the ball was dropped either as a result of incompetency or shifty tactics by foley. Can you admit it or do you want to keep lying and digging a deeper hole.

You need to get a fukkin map pal.

Google Hurricane Hermine. That was a Cat 1 hurricane last month that did a lot of damage in Gainesville. But, we're supposed to trust your voodoo science that a Cat 4 headed our way was just a media sensation.

How many rooms did evacuees use? You do realize that had the severity of the storm required rooms for evacuees it would have been canceled or postponed, but that wouldn't prohibit a contingency plan to be in place for Sunday or Monday subject to the storm.

Why didn't UCF play on Sunday or Monday???? Where's the great outrage for them postponing their game? Oh, I forgot, you're the same dumbasses that were mad when LSU postponed North Texas???

Stay on topic a$$hole and stop avoiding the question. Was it incompetency or intentional avoidance by foley. Answer the question.

Well they were fortunate enough the share a bye week with their opponent. LSU and Florida do not have that luxury. Anything else?

Every time I convince myself that this guy is trolling, he says something so amazingly ignorant it HAS to be honest.

Seriously, is this a Jr. high kid or what?

Who the hell are you to tell our administration or the SEC to play Sunday or Monday, while 600,000 people don't even have fukkin power??? When has Sunday and Monday ever been the only viable options? Just because you like the idea doesn't mean UF has to like it. UF cancelled a game in 2014 because of lightning. They didn't postpone that game for Sunday or Monday, they cancelled it with no makeup. So why should they do it now to stop your whining?

LSU offered to play in an empty stadium. They offered to fly in and out Sunday. But yeah they were trying to take rooms away from evacuees. How many, btw, have rooms booked in Gainesville currently? As Florida fans told us last week, Gainesville was way down the list of cities for evacuees
