Not sure where this Trask hate is coming from? Guy worked his arse off to get to this point, and had a bad game and was thrown under the bus by his coach's game plan.

I admittedly didnt watch the game.

But I've said that Trask reminds me of fromm. Take away his "go to" or bail out play and he becomes very average. Doesnt create offense. Just takes advantage of matchups.

Fromm lost the NCG after Wims got hurt (50/50 and back shoulder target).
Fromm lost the SECCG after Holloman got hurt (50/50 and back shoulder target).
Fromm's splits were awful in 2019 when Cager was hurt (again... 50/50 and backshoulder target).

Trask is very good. Very good. Better than Fromm on a few throws. But take away the plays where Pitts abuses a DB or Toney gets YAC and Trask looks a lot more like the jekyl/hyde jake Fromm.

And his teammates

I respect trask even more after tonight. Tough when you play with a group of guys all season and develop all that chemistry, then they all opt out days before the bowl game. Then you get maybe 2-3 practice and play with all the back ups and kids you never throw to.

I’m legitimately curious how this Florida team loses to LSU, gives Alabama their hardest game of the year, then gets destroyed by ou. Inconsistency is a sign of bad coaching.

He stuck with it in high school, stuck with it at UF and was there for his teammates in a bowl game he could have skipped. He’s what CFB needs more of.

Yeah - Dan Mullen is not an elite coach, and will not bring UF back to competing for titles.

Hes just a stop gap at best.

Not making excuses for Florida losing. OU was clearly the superior team tonight but getting up for the SEC title and a bowl game with many kids opting out are very different.

It’s important to note Florida’s offense was at an entirely different level with Pitts in it. His absence was definitely noticeable verses LSU.

Mullens teams aren’t consistent which is a sign of poor coaching
