DeBoer seems to be the main one on the list that loses inexplicable games as well. That’s your answer

Edit: Freeman does as well, but ND’s schedule is so forgiving that no one generally cares. They were just unfortunate this year

What are the “inexplicable” losses for KD at Bama?

FSU was FEI 28 this year. Not a good loss by any means but not horrible
UGA? SEC Champ, CFP
OU? CFP

OU last year was FEI 34 with a #1SOS on the road at night
Vandy? FEI 41 but with 4 one score losses
UM? FEI 23 and by that point we were inoperable on offense due to Milroe

I guess it comes down to what your opinion of our team was last year relative to what’s an inexplicable loss.

Personally I don’t think the margin for error for us last year with a first year coach who couldn’t run his offense due to a complete collapse at QB and OL was enough to make those inexcusable losses, I just think we were scratching to survive a transition year where most people couldn’t accept the falloff from peak Saban rosters to what we had left due to NIL losses and QB eval failures.

I agree in regards to the OP.

Ah! I gotcha. So many got on here criticizing the OP I thought you were doing the same.

As for others....it's the Rant. I am extremely happy with Kirby and wouldn't trade him for anybody, but my guess is that 99% of the people on here would gladly trade their coach for DeBoer.

LSU people might not, and to an extent I understand that, too, but...well, it is what it is.

Either way...congrats to DeBoer, Huepel and Kirby Smart and the fan bases they represent.

I think DeBoer doesn’t get the credit he deserves is because he does have a few stinkers here or there (FSU, 2024 OU, SECCG vs UGA) the offense is very discombobulated, and his teams don’t really blow other teams out.

His record speaks for itself but it also comes with some puzzling bugs.

Congrats on the win and the SECC for sure. But that's not "when it mattered most". That will be in the playoffs.

Maybe I am misinterpreting this thread, but I took it as a congratulations to DeBoer

You have to understand the Bammers. Anytime anyone doesn't think Alabama is the greatest of all time they get all pissey and react like you screwed their sister before they did.
