I knew they would eventually kills the golden goose. Happens to every good thing. College football used to unique among sports. Some teams in conferences, some independents. Lots of different interesting bowl games. Not so much interest in championship games. Lots of off season water cooler chatter. But greed and pride killed it. Always does. Always will. In all the Title 9 whiners will have eventually frick themselves in the name of fairness. They never knew how good they had it. Like Joni Mitchell said....Dont it always seem to go, that you dont know what you've got till its gone.

We might need to start a new forum where posters can pool money and officially sponsor players .

The Rant may as well profit from this too

So who is the biggest loser ? The NCAA ? The athletes? How about the NFL who may
have to fund a developmental league ?Professional minor league football has never
survived. Even college football relies on taxpayer subsidies to exist . Will fans feel an
attachment to a hybrid college/pro team when the student athletes are just paid athletes
like minor league baseball players ?

Uh, it's California. They ruin everything they touch.

In all seriousness though, California's law isn't worth the shite on the street it's written on.

NCAA decides if players get paid or not. If the players don't like it, they're free to go play for a non-NCAA school.

NOPE! Wake up.

At least Tennessee was ahead of the curve and got rid of football a decade ago.
