In order for LSU to make the NCAA tournament, they need to go 11-4 or 12-3 to end the season to get to 14 or 15 wins. While it’s not impossible, I have seen nothing from LSU this year to make me believe they can even win an SEC series, much less win 12 SEC games.
Last year Tennessee started 5-10, and then went 11-4 to end the season that ended in Omaha. While LSU is not Tennessee, they are still mathematically still alive. After today LSU will be 3-12 with the next 2 series against Mizzou and Auburn. LSU could easily sweep those series. If you don’t win series against Mizzou, then your season is done.
At the rate Tennessee is going right now, they will be a top 16 seed. Tennessee has the best offense in college baseball and show no sign of slowing down. Only thing that is going to stop Tennessee is their pitching.

I will not entertain the “alt” comment. I have done told most people that ask that I am from north west Tennessee. Had this conversation with Lew Evans other night. I have no issue to tell you where I’m from and grew up at, and I can promise you that no one ever brags coming from my home town.
But “jinx”? We have already won the series. While a sweep is nice, series wins is all that matters. Also I have enough confidence that our pitching will be just fine against the bottom half of the LSU lineup.

I've witnessed three football natties and two baseball natties in my lifetime with two other natty appearances.

We play Mizzou next weekend and they are terrible. They will probably only take 2 of 3 from us..
