Looking specifically at recruits credited to DC as primary recruiter verses two other coaches he wasn't technically our best recruiter. He was good though.

Exactly. Malzahn's reputation in this area was justifiably solidified when he trotted Johnson out to the media in Hoover...an act that can only be described as utter stupidity. The absurd Heisman talk...all Malzahn did, instead of downplaying expectations, was to throw gasoline on what became a dumpster fire. Malzahn continually shows himself to be an amateur in this area.

For the past two season when Lawson got hurt, it meant our entire pass rush was hurt. But all of a sudden we have depth to be a top 10 D now?


I still cannot believe we hired Kevin Steele. And we were stupid enough to pay a buyout for him. frick Gus.

You know the popular definition of insanity. As long as Malzahn remains employed, no act of stupidity should be surprising.
