Nico was not good last year. Take away the career highs against Chattanooga and he averaged 190 passing yards and 1.3 TDs a game.
Letting a guy putting up objectively awful numbers demanding millions isn’t some sort of bold stance, it’s just being objective that the guy isn’t worth the trouble when he’s not even good. Not similar at all to Ole Miss and Judkins in my opinions. Judkins was objectively great - Nico is literally a bi-product of Tennessee fans hyping him up for 3 years.

Q was actually elite. He definitely was worth a few extra but Imgonnaleaveya was not close to that

That Arkansas game film was a master class on showing defenses how to shut him down and make him obsolete.
Ironically, Nico's own brother is now on the roster at Arkansas. Hopefully he has learned from his brother and father's frickery, but no one truly expects Madden to hang around more than a season at Arkansas. I would be shocked.

Can't find the link, but the article I saw said the original deal was for 4 years for $8M and his team wanted a raise to $10M.
