Name one that was better. I mean, I see two SEC teams in the playoffs, and none from the BIG 10 or PAC 12. That lets those two out. The ACC had Clemson and Miami, but Miami proved to be a bit of an aberration.

That leaves us and the BIG 12.

I've got to go, but like I said...name on better. the number of coaches fired does not mean a conference is not good. You look at the conference as a whole. I'll check the thread tomorrow...but name a better conference and state your case. I'll check it and give it a fair reading. maybe we can talk more about it tomorrow.

You are on here talking about conferences and strengths. Then explain why Oklahoma struggled to beat a 1-11 Baylor team. They also struggled with a 6-6 Texas team. They struggled with a 7-5 Kansas St. team, that just so happened to have lost to the bottom feeder of that weak division. What does it say about your conference when Kansas St loses to Vandy? Even more important what does it say about Oklahoma when they struggle with such weak teams?

When you call our division the weakest in the country and a middle of the road team from yours loses to a bottom feeder in ours. I think its perfectly logical to believe that your conference is a bunch of cupcakes. I just happened to notice several other teams that not only lost to one but to two cupcake schools and then Oklahoma struggled with them. Now you are on our forums beating your chest like your team and conference are unbeatable powerhouses.....gtfo

That's what Bob was talking about when he called out your league's competitiveness as "propaganda" because the bottom half of your league never wins anything. That's what a competitive conference really looks like.

Iowa State has taken down top teams multiple times over the last decade in this league. So has KSU.

Iowa State is the reason Okie State didn't play for a national title - 2011

Baylor is the reason TCU didn't get to the playoffs - 2014

We're the reason Missouri didn't make it to the BCS National Championship game. - 2007

WVU is the reason Baylor didn't make the playoffs. - 2014

You guys like to talk about teams "beating up on each other", and "how many titles has the BIG XII won?" Well this is what teams beating up on each other really looks like, and it has been costly. And this is what has kept the BIG XII from playing in national title games.


To answer your question about why we struggled with Baylor, they were our first conference game, with a new coach from outside the league. We had zero idea what they were going to run or who their personnel would even be and no way to prepare.
