Forgive me for assuming that you were talking about overall athletic programs when you responded to this question:

If LSU wins the CWS does that only put them on par with UK from an athletic department standpoint?

Who exactly are you arguing that with? because no one in this thread is arguing otherwise.

I dont think the OP poster realizes that UK has the chance to win two legs of the "Big 3" having one already in hand. LSU only has a chance to win one if they can take baseball. I am from KY and live in LA and support both programs which allows me to look at each with more level headedness than others. This OP is what is pathetic...
This is what I responded to, therefore I was comparing programs.

Is there a couch burning team at UK? Are they made up a bunch of five stars from OHIO?

There's a burn ban. City officials don't want an LSU fan catching on fire. Ever smelled burnt garlic?

Read the OP then skipped to this page, if I missed anything worthwhile let me know an I will go back and read it. I am guessing somebody said the attendance was low, so I will give the opinion of someone who was there.
Stands were full early tho there were mostly empty seats in the section they put up for this series. That said it was drizzling early and it actually got colder as the game went on. Around the 3rd it started raining again and coupled with the cold, folks started heading for the exits. Both these clubs have good pitching so it was not going to be a comeback game for either team. I stayed till the end, but it was crummy weather, and that just means I was more of an idiot for sitting in it. Box has a big roof that covers many seats, the same can not be said for this place so not surprise if folks left. Sitting in the rain in the 70's is not the same as sitting in the rain in the 50's.
Saturday at Keeneland probably drew 15,000 - 20,000
Thunder tonight will draw 500,000 - 1,000,000
UK football tonight will draw probably 40,000 in this weather, half that if it gets colder and rains.
If the weather picks up on Sunday I think you are looking at a sell out like Friday. Nobody is sweeping this series, and both teams are for real so chill out and catch what should be a good game tomorrow.

While I appreciate you taking up for us, there's no way this is happening. Our Spring football attendance actually is pathetic.

Over under 40 k in the seats for non-sec matchups Samford and Kent state. I see flashbacks Of Bill Curry's last years in jokers future for the Samford game ... Less than 30k I will say for samford in November

Never...ever we get over 5000 for the spring game. Weather sucks donkey.
Also, why do LSU feel threatened by UK? It looks like it when all you have to "work" us up isgo to the "Stadium is shitty" or "no attendance" weak arse responses.
This attendance talk is such FAIL. I sense LSU fan getting all worked up because Kentucky is showing success on the field besides Basketball.
I put a post earlier on how UK is doing well in the Capital One Cup...I guess LSU fans has lost the "Kentucky sucks besides basketball" and "UK cheats in basketball" smack...because guess what...we are successful in athletics and LSU just hired the MONEY BAG MAN.
Hope UK can take the series...if not, it will be the first series we lost this year in the SEC...still a lot of baseball to be played.
