He gets the most out of his players.

No doubt, he is one hell of a coach....former Keady player, assistant and learned from Roy.

I disagree. Stallings is a POS, and Vandy has underachieved this year. They have the best combination of talent/experience in the league. They have the best player Jenkins, and Taylor is really, really good. They have big men, and really good guards. They are deep.

Hopefully the game last night will pay dividends for Vandy in the SEC and NCAA tournaments. With Kentucky covering Vandy's 3 point shooters Festus Ezeli became the focal point of the offense and he stepped up. If Festus can continue to break out and be more aggressive to the basket this team can have a nice run. He's only been playing basketball for 4 years and still learning the game.

I still cannot figure Kentucky out other then they are just all young and are still developing chemistry. The biggest improvement by one player and team I've ever witness in SEC play was Florida's first NC team with Joakim Noah. They went into the SEC tournament as just another good team and left a beast because Noah improved dramatically during the tournament. If Festus can do the same then Vandy will be much better with the talent they have around him.

I actually agree with you, austingator. Not about Stallings being a POS, but about us having underachieved this season. This is by far the most talented and most balanced team Stallings has had at Vandy. If this team had played even close to its potential, it would have dominated the SEC this year. Here's hoping we can realize that potential in a couple weeks, when it counts.

Finally had to just take matters into my own hands and take control of the remote and tell the Mrs she could watch "The Good Wife" upstairs.

Thought Vandy was going to do it.

I don't know why Vandy hasn't done a bit better. Ezeli can be very difficult to handle, I'm not going to attempt to spell his name but the other big guy who can hit 3's looks like a pretty good player, and obviously Taylor and Jenkins are a great duo and the point guard isn't bad either.

I've only seen them 4 or 5 times but it seems to me their problems are defense and ball handling.

We've lost some really close ones on the road this year including 3 road OT losses. This team has the ability to do some real damage, but you're rarely/never gonna win when you go down 15 to UK at home

Vandy is too timid. They are not aggressive enough as a team. Jenkins is becoming more aggressive in this his second year. Vandy returns everyone next year who is getting playing time this year. There is some concern 1 or 2 players could leave early. I think it would be a huge mistake if any of them did. They could be a very special team next year, but I said that about this years team and they have underachieved so far. Stallings has been very frustrated with their lack of closing out games.
