Actually, I don't think there is...not in what would pass as any kind of evidence in any realm other than theology.

But if he DID exist, there is a quote attributed to him about "selling your cloak and buying a sword"...I guess ole' Glenn was just following the words in red.

this, BamaScoop just pooped on the floor and stepped in it.

There is no evidence he existed. That is why it is called "Faith". If there were evidence, it wouldn't be called faith cause it would be fact.

anyways, stepping away from the religious arguement.......

i know, let's stop the religious stuff. It is a lose-lose argument. Let's get back on Coffee and what penalties he may face.

There really is a legitimate need for a religious angle in here, since there are some people questioning his stated intention to leave the NFL for the ministry, or how he can be a Christian and have a gun in his car.

SEC Rant, meet PoliBoard...

I would feel really fricking uncomfortable if I knew that some random fricking dude was walking down the street with a glock on his hip for no reason at all. That is just fricking dumb.

If I want to carry a gun on me while I'm walking down the street, I will carry a gun with while I'm walking down the street. Do you get uncomfortable when you see a cop walking down the street with a Glock strapped to his hip? Of course not! You exclaim. He's a cop. Why should I fear a man in uniform? He's a person too, that's why. Just because he carries a badge doesn't mean he isn't a bad guy. But he has a license to carry a fire arm and more than likely he will never pull a gun on someone who doesn't deserve it. Same goes for someone who isn't a cop but carries a concealed weapon permit. More than likely they aren't going to pull that gun unless they feel threatened. I don't see the big deal and your confusion on why people do this doesn't really make any sense.

If someone doesn't have a criminal record, nobody should have to have a registered gun. Every state needs to follow the path Arizona has recently taken and abolish concealed carry permits. If you have a legal right to purchase a gun, you should have a legal right to carry it concealed, with exceptions to government buildings or private businesses that post it's not allowed. Hate that a stupid law has made him a criminal.

In the city I live in it's legal to carry it in a holster on your hip. You have to have a license to conceal it, but not if it's in plain sight.

Your argument is kind of dumb. A cop is a beholder of the law, it is HIS JOB to carry a fire arm and protect society. By your logic, it is okay for regular citizens to play fricking John Wayne and take the law into their own hands whenever they feel like it, which is bullshite IMO. If we used your logic, everytime something crazy broke out we'd have a bunch of cowboys pulling out their firearms and firing all over the place. This is not the 1800s brah. Of course there are exceptions, but you cannot make the exceptions the rules.

Furthermore, you seem kind of paranoid and cynical, which is not the kind of person I am, so let's just agree to disagree.

You made a giant leap from what he said and what you think he said. He simply said that there are even bad cops, but you don't fear every cop that carries a gun. He also never stated he was going to go all John Wayne, simply that he had a right to carry a pistol on his possession. Police are a reactionary force. If there were more responsible people, and less people that took the attitude, well, that's his problem, not mine, then there would probably be alot less violence. How many times have you seen videos of people assaulted, while literally dozens of people simply watched? Maybe things would be better if everyone was armed and it "looked" like the 1800's. Fact is this.. the 2nd Amendment affords every legal citizen the RIGHT to possess firearms.. the arguments that anyone shouldn't be allowed to because someone is nervous about it, or because they don't feel comfortable, is well.. tough shite. The Constitution gives every law abiding citizen the right to carry.. it's the decades of socialistic laws that have permeated the courts and public to believe that they don't and cause the bullshite laws that has made someone, exercising their right a criminal now.
