So i guess Dial should have just let Murray waltz himself over to the play to try to make a tackle?

If Murray was making an actual attempt to tackle him I'd be fine with it. Lazily jogging in the general direction of the ball carrier doesn't make him a threat in any way.

The simple fact is Dial saw an opportunity to take a shot on a defenseless QB who was in no way a threat to the play and he did so. As I've said already, you can pull all the technical bullshite you want but it was still a dirty hit.

There is no fricking way you, anyone watching the game or any of the players on the field believe Murray was gonna attempt to make that tackle.

NO. frickING. WAY.

Murray is ahead of the play and trying to contain it. He looks lazily jogging because that's what QBs do in that situation, they look like scared girls because they have never done it before.

It was an awesome hit.

It isn't a judgment call. Dial would have to lead with the crown of the helmet.

Wrong. Thats as much of a judgement call as pass interference which is completely subjective. Hence the reason that call isn't always made. It was still dirty though, and funnily enough I haven't seen you say it wasn't. All you've done is quote technicalities about why it was "legal".

A ref shouldn't be out there going, "oh shite, that was nasty looking...oh well damn! guess i'll throw a flag on that"

Though this seems to be the reason for personal fouls more often than not nowadays.

Doesn't matter. If there is high contact to the head regardless of what part of the defender hit him it is a personal foul. I've seen it called all year.

Why do you bring it up? Does it bother you?

You gumps still whine about Mathieu grabbing Kirkpatrick's jersey and spinning him around last season. Face it, if any UGA defender did what Dial to Murray to McCarron, we wouldn't of heard the end of it.

It was a clothesline like the fricking wwe, but actual.

And my god do you guys love some gay arse Mathieu. Let the piece of shite go. Like you told us for so many years....

Quit living in the past. And besides. You keep bringing up that clothesline. Please. Pull up the gif file of both so we can compare. Please do.

A hit led by shoulder and a clothesline. What's legit? What's clean. May we have this debate? Please let us.

There is no debate. Both a clothesline and a high hit to the head are illegal. Neither were called.

lawlz, he threw his arm around, grabbed his jersey, and swung him around, and Dre flopped. If he truly was clothes-lined, he wouldn't of done a 180. I don't love me some "gay arse Mathieu" nor am I living in the past. It's just funny how Bama fans like to point out "thug this" and "thug that" when you had this cheapshot hit and the damn Mizzou head drop from earlier this season.

Well Nancy, its football, and the moment that pass was intercepted, Murray was a defender, eligible to get blocked...

Personal foul call in the Nebraska - Wisconsin game

In that game and in this game, the fact that the blocker used his forearm and left his feet should have caused him to be flagged.

In a larger picture you can see the guy who intercepted the ball had already flipped the ball in the air after being tackled the same time this block was delivered.

The Alabama player is lucky Murray continued to play in the game or he would have been suspended for sure.
