So Franklin was being a fig and CTG stepped up? The B&R goggles see nothing else. Thanks.

Then I support Grantham for sticking up for his guy. And given how unanimated Richt is, I really don't mind him getting under peoples skin. Bout time this program showed it had a pulse. Football is a violent game and it should have some crazed people. So long as our guys aren't running around off the field emulating their coach, they can go buck wild on it for all I care. In fact i encourage it

Yea, I just rewound it too and grantham was walking out normally and Franklin was pointing and yelling Grantham turned to look where he was pointing then Franklin said something to him and then grantham started up in his face. Grantham was all calm before that so it wasn't like he was going out there looking to start shite

Grantham is a douche. Look at the choke sign he made to our kicker last year.

Doesn't surprise me. He works under Richt. Another douche. He can't own up to calling the celebration in '07. If you call it then own it.

And, yes, I'm drunk and pissed that we lost tonight.

Here's the photo.

Bottom circle is Franklin calling out #36 Shawn Williams. Notice Grantham (right) walks out calm and collected but loses it when Franklin starts pointing and shouting at Williams.

Vid's already on ESPN 3 replay. It cuts away after my screenshot and so you only see Grantham and Franklin going back and forth with the officer in between.

You would hope that a paid professional, a representative of a instituion of higher learning, would not act like a punk on TV.

Nashville, Tenn. - Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin and Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham had heated words for each other in the moments after Saturday's game. Neither discussed what was said. But Franklin said it happened after he sought out Grantham, after Georgia's 33-28 victory. "We just had a tough, emotional game and some things were said that I didn't think were appropriate," Franklin said. "I went to find (Georgia head) coach (Mark) Richt and didn't find him, so I found one of his assistant coaches and it didn't go well. We're not going to sit back and take it from anyone." Franklin said he later found Richt and spoke to him. "I explained to him what happened," Franklin said. "That's for me and coach Richt to deal with. Hopefully we'll learn from that experience. Those things happen." Grantham, for his part, didn't directly address it. "Everybody's competitive," Grantham said. "I love my players. I like the way they compete. I love the passion they play with, and I support my players." And every time Grantham was asked about that, he gave a version of that quote. Richt said he didn't see what happened. "I hate the fact that at the end of the game we can't shake hands and get off the field like gentlemen," Richt said. Later he added: "We are grown men and we all need to act that way. But we're also competitors." The players appeared to be in the dark on what happened too. "I was talking to one of the (Vanderbilt) players I know and I turn around and it was a big ol' scuffle, everybody pushing and shoving each other," Georgia linebacker Jarvis Jones said. "So I just tried to grab some of my teammates back, I don't know what happened." The game was chippy in general. Georgia safety Shawn Williams got two personal foul penalties, and in the third quarter Georgia nose tackle Kwame Geathers threw a punch at a Commodore, who also drew a penalty, for offsetting penalties on the play. "Early on in the game there was a lot of talking going on," Jones said. "Vanderbilt liked to cut (block). On the play with Kwame they got him from behind, so there was no call and Kwame got a little upset. Which he shouldn't have. It got a little heated. But it was a physical game all-around." "I know all throughout the game emotions were running high, there was a little pushing and shoving here and there," linebacker Ray Drew said. "I don't know if that carried over into the end of the game. But we need to take care of that. We can't lose our composure in a situation like that."

this reminds me of the brawl Georgia tried to start with Auburn last year. No coincidence that Georgia was involved with both.

You mean after Fairly late hit the UGA QB about 40 times?

Perhaps, but I support Grantham in doing it. This isn't anything like last year's choke sign incident. He covered for his guys and it'll go a long way in motivating them. Franklin needs to grow up. He's a good coach who stuck it to a lackadaisical UGA team and should have won. He needs to act like it if he's going to bring Vandy out of the cellar

Honestly surprised at the UGA fans who support this unprofessional behavior by a coach. I would expect it from some fanbases, but not you. To me, indicates the direction your program is heading.
