Like I said, every team has question marks. Right now, the only one that really matters for UGA is our head coach. I'm not one for fanatical over-optimism, so my confidence is non-existent until Smart gives me a reason to be confident.

That doesn't matter if your O-line is like swiss cheese

O-line was much improved the last 3rd of the season.
Averaged over 200 yrds per game rushing and part of
it was due to Eason and our WR's improvement.

We'll have a more talented group and a mcuh bigger threat in our passing along with best TE's and RB's in the East.

Fatman calling the plays is still a big concern and we need to make adustments much earlier in the season if our schemes aren't working.

One of the main factors with the improvement was because Eason and the WR's getting better over
the course of the season.

No doubt there'll be some growing pains but part of
the struggles early last year were defenses simply weren't respecting the passing game and our guys were just getting outnumbered up front.

UF/UGA winner wins the east IMO. I think UGA will be better under year 2 with kirby and eason.

I don't think Chubb is a shell of his former self. That type of injury takes more than a year to completely recover from. Combine that with a makeshift OL and a new offensive scheme, he was still able to have a 1k season under those circumstances. He's one tough SOB.

Both Chubb and Michel returning is a big reason why people are high on UGA this year. And if Pittman is anywhere near as good as UT advertised when he left them, he will have the OL playing better.

I don't understand the average internet football fan. If you question their team or coach, or player, it's almost like you've insulted their firstborn child. Maybe it's just a modern message board mentality, which I definitely predate, but my level of credulity doesn't depend on which team is involved.

Georgia with Kirby will smoke the east. Only team on that side that can keep it within 21 of the Tide in the SECCG. Florida and Tennessee are jokes and will finish below Kentucky and maybe even South Carolina.

You sound bitter that UGA is on the upswing and Tenn is in the midst of a regression.

Georgia will be average again this year.....I hope. FIFY

I don't understand the love for Georgia this year. Chubb is a shadow of his former self, Kirby is definitely not the next Saban, and they have no Offensive line. By no meas am I saying that my Vols will be good either but I don't understand why Georgia is getting love.

What do you know about the program? Are you making an educated assumption? Do you remember that you should have been beaten by a UGA team last season with a freshman QB? He is a 5-star with a canon and a season under his belt now. Why do you think Chubb is a shadow of his former self? Evidence? Do you know what players UGA has on our O-line? Do you know what kind of D we're returning? Receiving corps?

Dawgs will be the most improved team in the SEC this year.

This is coming from a disgruntled UT fan whose team is falling into a dark losing abyss

Who won?

And a suspect O-line which is a huge neutralizer

quote:

Why do you think Chubb is a shadow of his former self? Evidence?

2014 he ran for 1760 yards, 7.1 avg and 14 TDs
2016 he ran for 1130 yards, 5 avg, 8 TDs

I am not saying he is a bad RB. Still one of the best in the conference. But not as good as he was.

quote:

Do you know what players UGA has on our O-line?

You have great tight ends but you lost 3/5 of your starters and are replacing them with freshmen for the most part. YEs sometimes freshmen can come in and excel but that is not the norm.

quote:

Do you know what kind of D we're returning?

A very solid Defense. You will be good on that side of the ball this year

quote:

Receiving corps?

Lost Imac who was your best playmaker but you do have some talent there

quote:

Dawgs will be the most improved team in the SEC this year

You hope

Average is good enough to win the SEC East though.
