So Kirby was smart for picking him? You need to make up your mind.

Kirby has definitely proven that he’s got a keen eye for talented OCs. Only a matter of time imo

Maybe fields would have stayed. What could have been

Mitigate that by saying "in the east" and then factor in perhaps a more competitive east in the near future and you probably need to be very satisfied if you hold that.

IN THE EAST. You can be one dimensional and go 11-1 in the east. Now try the West.

I am still skeptical that you weren’t tying to knock Kirby sarcastically.

In a reduced manner. It’s simply a big hiccup for anyone installing new systems. Same for Alabama with a new strength and conditioning regimen.

We went 2-0 against West teams during the regular season last year or do you just want us to talk about LSU and Bama and pretend that Ole Miss, Miss St, Arkansas, A&M, and Auburn don’t count?

Kirby also tried to hire (and was rejected by) Eddie Gran, who I consider to be a solid coordinator. Joe Brady as well iirc.
He knows a good OC when he sees one, he just has trouble actually getting them to come work for him, which is why he was stuck with Coley and now Monken.

I don’t think it’s as big a hiccup as you’d think, especially if the Fall camp period gets extended. Obviously spring practice would be preferable but everyone has these limitations. Georgia has enough talent to work its kinks out offensively by the time it rolls into T Town to make that into a game.
ETA: Same goes for Bama S&C, guys haven’t just been doing nothing the past 2 months (at least they’re not supposed to have been doing nothing). They’ll get 3 solid months of S&C work in tot he point that they’ll be ready to play

Your offense hasn't been that terrible.
LSU went all the way from 2007-2019 only having one quarterback throw more than 20 touchdowns in a season.

2019 was pretty terrible. 2017-2018 was good if not great at times.

you think losing Sam Pittman, Andrew Thomas, Isaiah Wilson, D'Andre Swift, and Jake Fromm will make your offense better?

I’m with you but like mentioned, horrible year for the new offense (I know they didn’t plan for it to be like this)

You're burying the Lede
What you should be doing is asking why is Kurby a $7MM per yr HC if your Team went 3 straight yrs without an Offense
He's not a Def Coach
He's not a Recruiter
He's the Head Coach of the entire Program, he's accountable for Offense-Defense-Special Teams
To admit that you were weak in 1 phase for 3 straight seasons should make you ask. "is he the right guy to lead us"?

Fla and tenn are starting to catch up talent wise and LSU and bama aren’t going away
People keep saying that, and I’ll admit it feels like it should be true. But when you look at recruiting numbers it’s only barely noticeable. Tennessee and Florida are not significantly closer to Georgia talent wise than they were in 2017-2019.

Splitting hairs but I’ll concede you’re right, they are in fact different.

That's because UGA plays in the SEC east. Had UGA played in the much tougher SEC West, no way UGA would have gone 11 & 1. Not to mention, that you are full of crap, cause Alabama beat UGA, then Texas also beat UGA, then LSU utterly destroyed UGA last season.
Georgia football is always over ranked and over rated.
