We still had a series with both Tennessee and Auburn when I was at Tech in the late 1980's. In fact, somebody I knew that went to Auburn told me they had a Wreck Tech parade every year before the annual Georgia Tech game. I agree that the ACC is a better fit for us now, but I would like to see us rotate some of the old rivalries back into our non conference schedule.

Yes, there always was a Wreck Tech parade. I miss AU playing Tech. and UT and UF (these 2 rivals went out the window when the conference expanded)

You are going to be shocked on new years eve. UK is an SEC School, not one of your soft ACC teams. It's a different environment.

Honestly I'm more concerned that our guys won't take the guys too seriously. GT still wind regardless, but I might lose a bet unfortunately.

I was thinking the same thing. GT doesn't quite strike immediate fear into the hearts of any sports fan...of any sport at all, so...
