Bama is not getting GA in the ultimate trap game, right after a crazy Florida game where the GA D had to be on the field for 40 minutes. GA is well rested and has probably spent the alot of practice the last 3 weeks working on stuff for Bama. Bama also does not have a guy like Driskell who can extend perfectly defended plays and make something out of absolutely nothing. Ga is setup to stop teams like Bama.

Alabama also didn't lose 35-7 in a trap game that also should have been a shut out.

No true "pass rusher". They don't have anyone on the team with more than 5 sacks or 9 tackles for loss. That's really their only weakness on defense, which can put their secondary in a bind.

bama is fine on the pass rush, they are tied with LSU and A&M for 26th, all have 30 team sacks. Only South Carolina and Arkansas (31 sacks) have had a better pash rush in the SEC this year.

I think one needs to look at the amount of QB hurries Alabama's defense has had in comparison to the other teams in the league. We may not get a lot of sacks, but we do effect the quarterback. Wallace's interception in the Iron Bowl on Saturday was a direct result of getting scared in the pocket and throwing the ball too soon.

There is more than one way to skin a cat, and there's more than one way to beat Alabama. In fact, A&M showed two different methods. The first half, it was all about 3rd down conversions--A&M kept moving the chains, keeping the Bama offense off the field. The second half was more about big plays--A&M had several big plays leading to scores or scoring opportunities.

Georgia has a punchers chance against Bama, but if they are going to do it, it will probably be more via the big play route, than consistently moving the chains. They have a better defense than A&M (although A&M played their best game of the season defensively against Bama, and probably matched up better with the Bama offense than a pass happy attack), so they might be able to stay in the game for a while without consistently moving the chanins, and hit some big plays to score points. But, if I had to bet, I'd bet on Bama, that's for sure.

GA had no trap games this year. they played Buffalo, Missouri, Vandy, and Tenn leading up to to SC, and had a bye week and then Kentucky before Florida. a trap game has to be a situation where the previous game either results in a let down the next week, or where an upcoming big game makes a team look past an opponent.

No trap games. But we played without 2 All American caliber players the first 4 games, and then had a hobbled Jarvis Jones after the Missouri game.

We definitely weren't in sync against S.Car (we were close on a few INTs, but credit the Gamecocks. They turned close into big plays against us).

Offensively, we had no plan for the athleticism of Clowney. He was jumping over players. Bullrushing through players. And was able to play against our QB and RB simultaneously the entire game (similar to how Jarvis was able to disrupt Missouri's QB and RB all by himself).

And those opponents were Buffalo, Missouri, Florida Atlantic, and Vanderbilt. You get everybody back for the Tennessee game and your defense gives up 44 points.

makes perfect sense, they weren't used to playing together as a unit. We also lost Bennett, number one receiver at that point in practice right before the game. no excuses, we got a beat down. those are definite factors as to why we weren't more competitive that game.

I believe that Georgia can and will give bama and saban fits. This may be the game that Saban has a stroke on the sideline.

Tennessee was able to run the football on us because Rambo, Williams, and Ogletree weren't making the plays.

They hadn't been on first team offense for over a month. It took time for them to get up to gamespeed.

Jarvis Jones was working through hamstring issues and a shoulder injury at that time as well.
