georgia is not getting bama in the ultimate trap game, right after a crazy lsu game where the bama D had to be on the field for 40 minutes. bama is well rested and has probably spent the alot of practice the last 3 weeks working on stuff for GA. georgia also does not have a guy like manziel who can extend perfectly defended plays and make something out of absolutely nothing. bama is setup to stop teams like georgia.

Does Murray do alot of stuff like that?

Scramble unnecessarily and pass to a wide open receiver? Maybe not the first but he might be able to do the 2nd.

UGA doesn't have the OL of A&M and Murray isn't anything close to the running/scrambling threat of JFF. They have an excellent RB but A&M did as well. The WR's are harder to say, both teams are solid there. A&M doesn't use TE's much.

More that that though, the pace is different and the formations and style of the teams are different. A&M is an Air Raid, fast moving offense that is designed to put constant pressure on the defense and has Manziel's mobility and unpredictability to make it even harder to stop. UGA is a more traditional pro style set that has a lot of talented players that execute it well.

The real story of the A&M win though was how the A&M defense played though. They forced turnovers and effectively bottled up Bama's run game for the most part. They got burned on a few deep balls late but otherwise they did a solid job of containing Bama's offense. UGA certainly has the talent to do so and they are deeper but can they?

The thing I would give Bama an edge on is they have the ability to emulate what USC did a lot more than UGA can emulate what A&M did.

Bama doesn't have Clowney and Taylor and their pass rush is doesn't seem to be very good. Thus, they cannot emulate what USCe did.

If Bama brings LB's to blitz, they better get to Murray

Clowney has 13 sacks.
Bama's defensive line has 12.

I know that those are 2 different schemes.
But Bama's best linebacker has 5 (Hubbard).

you mean freak out in the pocket when his protection isn't even breaking down? Alabama's pass rush is a myth.

All your hear about is how Georgia will run away from Alabama if Murray plays well

Yeah...what rock have you been living under where that's all you hear about? If you listened to the radio or watched TV you'd think Bama had already won the game. Get the frick outta here.

Bama also does not have a guy like Driskell who can extend perfectly defended plays and make something out of absolutely nothing. Ga is setup to stop teams like Bama.

It's going to be a very interesting matchup.

Let's look at defense first.

Alabama:

-No true "pass rusher". They don't have anyone on the team with more than 5 sacks or 9 tackles for loss. That's really their only weakness on defense, which can put their secondary in a bind.

Georgia:

-Jarvis Jones is a terror to opposing offenses with 10.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss, but the Georgia defense has been susceptible against the run.

Offensively, it looks like the strength of both teams plays well against the weakness of the opposing defenses. If Murray has time in the pocket, he will do enough to make Alabama pay. If Georgia can't slow down the Alabama run game, they will impose their will.

I see both teams scoring in the 20's and, if I had to choose, I would pick Georgia.

Aaron Murray isnt just some stiff like Peyton Manning or Tom Brady that just sits in the pocket all day. He has run the ball a few times like here... LINK

UGA may beat Bama, but I doubt it. I would rather be playing UGA for the Title than these other SEC teams: LSU, TAMU, UF, & USCe.

You can't play A&M or LSU for the title...they're in your own Division.

Umm, OK. Just saying there are 4 other teams in the SEC that I think are stronger than UGA.

Every one of those teams has flaws.

You have a right to your opinion.
But it sounds more like you're running your mouth based on a hunch than anything with merit.

Well if I had to make a pick based on football areas I would take Bama. Just looking at the 2 losses, we had to play a complete game with +3 TO ratio and barely won. UG was never in the game against USC. I would also love to see the hype of a Bama-ND title game.

However, this has been one of the craziest years in college football and thus, UG has a great chance as long as they do not turn the ball over.
