Overstated his absence in games he missed? Lol. Absolutely not.
The ROLE of his absence.
UF: we had injuries all over, on both sides, and it was the wheel route that caused the problems.
Texas: we werent in the least bit focused on the game.
SC: our O sucked arse, and their O didnt do shite.
JD being out doesnt explain any of that.

Sure. He’s considered an edge/DE in the draft. He played all over for Georgia. You got me.
Lol you’re claiming to be an expert in college football and referenced “multiple unicorns at OLB” which is false and now are using recruiting rankings to back up why Oregon will be good?? Sorry I called you out bud. Lol I hate UGA but you sound like one of their side walk fans “he was a 4 star in high school whose put on 10 pounds and we beat Ohio state last year!” Lol literally 0 objective analysis - and to shite on your point even further UGA’s recruiting is literally light years ahead of Oregons. Thanks for breaking down film like an expert.

I can assure any poster on here that UGA's defense next year (and for the foreseeable future) will be really good 2 elite, i.e. top 10-15 every year.
We have 4 and 5 stars all over the D depth chart, and we have Mushchamp, Shumann and Kirby (among other D coaches) on that side of the ball to coach them up.
Will our defense be as good as last year?...... Probably not, but our Offense is gonna be KILLER next season..

UGA is going back to the playoff next year even with a step back on defense. They still have more talent on their roster by a large deal more than anyone except Bama. The East still sucks, they play Auburn and State in the West. Bama is going to be lights out tho. Don’t see UGA repeating but they go back to the playoff.

I don't recall saying multiple unicorns at OLB. If I did, it was misstated. I was talking about multiple unicorns - one at DT and one at OLB. I should have stated DE for Walker. I was talking about Davis and Walker. The latter is being compared to Hutchinson and Thibodeaux in the draft because he's projected as an edge player (yes, I know he pinched inside on passing downs).
Also, I spotted UGA 15 points. Anything I state should be taken in that context. I never pretended that I can break down film. You're kind of being dramatic.
So Comfort is breaking down our WR room with PFF, roster stats, and some highlight film. I also said that "on paper" the RBs and WRs are inexperienced. I can see their point.
I have been an very active member of the Duck community for 20+ years. I know who shoots straight and who doesn't. There is not a talent deficiency in either one of those rooms (RB and WR). My biggest concern on the offensive side of the ball is the coaching. Dillingham is an unknown.
I am worried about the defense because it's a mash unit. However, I 100% believe the staff is a 1000% better than the last two years' staffs.

Was Jordan Davis an overweight space-taker who couldn't be a 3 down lineman? Or was he the linchpin of a generationally elite defense?
Davis was a linchpin. He singlehandedly took away the run and he eats up multiple blockers on passing downs when he's in the game. Know why he wasn't on the field on passing downs? Because of Travon Walker, Jalen Carter (who was the best player on that defense, IMO; he's coming back, good luck to Oregon blocking that dude) Devonte Wyatt, etc. He could have played on 3rd down but the DL rotation was so absurdly deep that he didn't need to.
I truly believe he is Vince Wilfork 2.0.

Auburn looks like they wasted Nix’s talent. Good lord he looks good.

@so_comfort - the WR and RBs were explosive today during the spring game.
We got a lot of pressure from the inside linebackers. LaDuke Jackson and Keith Brown will make the ILBs a deep position in relief for Sewell/Flowe.
Also, DJ Johnson has taken to better coaching. Kid has freakish potential on the edge. He seems like he is much more fluid. In fact, the entire team seems to have enjoyed a S&C change up from Coach Love, formerly at Ole Miss.
Here’s the highlights: LINK

We had a qb last year that couldn’t push the ball down the field. Bo was accurate.
That’s a major upgrade. He will feast in the PAC-10.

Y’all have a 1st year defensive minded head coach that would punt on 3rd down if the fans would let him and a QB that sucked in an offensive minded system tailored to him. This isn’t what you think it is.

Was it really that the WRs were "explosive" or was it that the secondary is hot garbage? Case in point:
1) The first play of the game at 1:00. McGee runs a simple route from a bunch formation and no one is ever within 5 yards of him. What was #24 doing on that play? It sure as hell wasn't covering his assignment.
2) On the first TD of the game to McGee at 1:46. How does #19 give up inside leverage so easily on that play? Really? That was awful.
3) Another one to McGee at 3:20. What in the heck is the ILB doing here? McGee breaks across his face and he's still backpedaling? Finally is able to recognize what's happening in front of him, but he's 5 yards away from the receiver who makes an easy catch. Then to top it all off, the ILB whiffs on the tackle. Couldn't catch his number, but is he one of the guys you were bragging about?
4) On the second TD of the game which was a pass from Nix to Thornton at 3:36, the defense gets caught with their pants down on an all out blitz. The CB #6, a true FR, gets torched. He was slow to recognize and never worked his way back into position after getting beat on the press. He had no safety help which created an easy pitch and catch for Nix. Nothing special, just picking on a true FR that should still be in HS if he weren't an EE.
That's just the first few minutes. I'll add some more breakdown as I have time.

The group is good and deep. It’s not Bama or Ohio State good but it’s very good. Cota was fantastic. You can all pick apart every play but at the end of the day, Seven McGee and Thornton are electric players. That’s the report even in good on good periods.

What's the word on Justin Flowe? Will he finally be healthy?

There was good back and forth. That said, our top 2 CBs didn’t play (gonzo played maybe 5 snaps). So, the WRs getting the better of the DBs was the desired outcome.
