Maybe a guy like Pickens belongs at UGA if you think calling someone 2nd string is trashing them.

Are you seriously going to act like you’re not trying to diminish the player by adding the “second string” to their name? I’m pretty sure Hurts was the SEC freshman of the year and bama fans tell us everyday how great tua is. If someone says, “haha you got beat by the backup,” they’re implying you got beat by someone who isn’t good enough to start.

Yes, I am going to act like that. Peyton Manning was 2nd string to a friend of mine in high school. At the point in time where each came in the coaching staff felt the other was the one best suited to take the field as starter. Josh Jacobs was 2nd string this year to Damien Harris. Guess who will be holding up a bigger signing bonus.

If the #4 WR in the country has to spend a year in JUCO it's ok because the #5 WR (already on campus) will help us along through 2019 while Pickens gets coached up in the classroom.

Not qualifying would suck, but at this point GA should be pretty happy.

Either you get him or no one gets him.

That being said, I think the JUCO route means he could re-open everything in a year, I guess.

True. They won’t have to worry about him blocking for our RB
