Usce was trash the entire season and got hot against ten and rode the wave. Lsu played its best football the 4th quarter of the fsu game there was no gas left in the tiger tank after the bama game

Let’s calm down. Alabama is NOT done. Saban just brought in his best class ever. LSU is on the rise again and I anticipate some championship hardware and a CONSISTENT elite power once again, before Kelly is finished up, but there will be battles amongst those two teams in the West. Tennessee is on the rise in the East as well.

2019 Alabama, in my opinion, was the closest thing to that 2019 LSU team in which that the 2020 team, gets compared to. Tua’s injury was costly in what could’ve been an all time season. In short, these are all great SEC teams, that deserve to be celebrated. 2019 Alabama and LSU, 2020 Alabama, 21-22 Georgia, though I’d personally take either Alabama teams to beat Georgia in close matchups. Please do not get into the older Alabama teams like the 2009, 2011, etc. Those are likely among the best defenses ever. Congrats to the Dawgs, helluva thing going on in Athens, Saban isn’t finished, and yes OP, LSU will get back to that level of prominence WITH consistency under Kelly, but let’s not get foolish with the Alabama talk.

The 2021 team was better than the 22’, IMO, though they did split the tie with Alabama. Nothing to scoff about however, both incredible teams. It’s almost as impressive however for Kirby to reload and repeat after losing massive amounts of depth on both sides of the ball. Congrats to the Dawgs

2011 Alabama probably tops the greatest defensive lists. 2011 LSU certainly deserves some mention in say a top ten list but that Alabama defense was terrifying. I have a deep appreciation and hate for the 2009 and 2011 defenses. I wasn’t around for the 1992 defense but I’ve heard that’s among the fiercest of all time as well. Derrick Henry trying to run through Wyatt, David, and company would be a sight to see. All I can say is, the SEC (from Georgia’s, Florida’s, LSU’s, or Alabama’s) over the past two decades, represents well on the championship stages. Major props.

They were on the ropes against Ohio State and led the game for a total of 1 minute. Also had the easiest regular season schedule and the weakest championship opponent.

In in the 2017 title game and the 2018 SECCG I think Alabama led the game for 2 minutes, or something like that. What did that get us? 2 losses and a regular bowl game. We were told a games lasts 60 minutes. Do games last for a shorter time when we win them?

The schedule part is not true, for sure.

We had the 12th toughest schedule according to Sagarin.
Alabama's was 20th.
Ohio State was 28th.
Tennesse's was 27th.
Michigan was 52nd

I'm not sure where you get your information from, but you might want to check into a new source.

And..just because we trucked TCU does not make them any stronger or weaker than they really are. It just means we just jumped on them. Hard.
You forget that they beat Michigan, so....out of curiosity. Who do you think we should have played and who do you think should have made the playoffs?

I like your TCU moniker beside your name. it speaks volumes.

Sounds like a bunch of hollow excuses. You probably like to go by where a team was ranked when they were played.

Uh no, that team could not beat the 2011 team. No way. Mccaron would throw for 500 yards. He threw on an LSU defense that was on of the best in history against the pass.

Uga could not stop LSU 2022's backup QB from throwing, you think they would stop that bama 2011 team?

Also that bama 2011 defense would hold this UGA team to about 14 pts.

UGA 2022 was a good team, but they are not the 2nd best team to win a natty.

Hard to tell year to year. Georgia was great this year and couple that with TCU being the absolute worst national championship opponent in the history of college football.
