Georgia is giving up 252 yards a game on average, Alabama is giving up 254 yards. If these two teams are the ones to make it to Atlanta in December, you're more than likely going to see a low scoring affair.

You would think, but it often seems to be the opposite of what is expected in situations like that.

They both have great offenses too, so high scoring wouldn't shock me either.

I prefer the miracle of LSU making it, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't enjoy a UGA and Bama match up.

Scoring Defense
BAMA: 10.1
UGA: 12.6

Scoring Offense
BAMA: 42.7
UGA: 37.6

We've played a lot of guys on both sides of the ball, especially late. Numerous points have been scored against our 2's/3's which skews the data.

Not sure how many subs Kirby has been playing.

Data isn't skewed. It's data.

Every team that blows most teams out is playing lots of subs at the end.

Apparently you don't understand the relationship between lies and statistics.

In some cases, the numbers truly aren't representative of the facts. Not sure what to say beyond that if you don't understand the concept.

What lie do you feel those statistics perpetuate? What fact do they not represent?

Except that offenses tend to progress and improve more over the course of the year compared to the beginning. More often than not, offenses put up better numbers in the second half of the year as opposed to the first. This is why end season rivalry games tend to be higher scoring than week 1 games.

That Bama's first team has finished the game in only two of our seven contests.

At least 3 contests had backups playing as early as the 3rd quarter.

Vs Ole Miss and Vanderbilt, we had our 4 deep in the game.

Vandy didn't score at all. You think your 1/2s not playing vs a team that didn't score impacted your scoring defense numbers? And Ole Miss scored 3, that was vs your starters. Your facts seem intended to skew the stats..

No, we'd just have 4 more rushing TD's.

Several games a lot of our subs played 2/3 of the second half, not just late in the 4th.

Output is skewed if the input is not the same. In other words they havent played the same teams so the variable has no correlation.

Numbers are facts.

The interpretation of those facts are where the lies are.

100% skews our total defense, scoring defense, total offense, and scoring offense negatively. Colorado State is still the only team to break 20 points against us, but 13 of those points were scored in the 4th quarter against 2nd and 3rd team. Fresno State's lone touchdown came against 2nd and 3rd team in the 4th quarter as well. I'm not sure what's so hard to comprehend about that.

How many games were your backups put in the game during the 3rd quarter against SEC teams?
