Michigan looked real nasty kicking a last second field goal to beat Illinois at home.

UGA outgained Kent St 529 yards to 281.
UGA won by 3 scores bleeding the clock in the 2nd half (0 punts all game).
There is some "narrative" about Kent St that keeps getting repeated but it has 0 meaning and no one can explain why it gets included.

Up by just 10pts over Kent St in the the 4th Q isn’t exactly going to be seen as a strength. You can have twice the yards if you want but if a severely undermanned G5 school is within 10pts in the last 10min of the game, you’re def not listing that as a “strong showing.” Maybe that’s just me though

quote:

UGA outgained Kentucky 363 yards to 295. The game was close because UGA only had 9 possessions all game (3 in the first half with scores all 3 times). The 9th possession was the victory formation.
We score on 4 out of 8 possessions.
Kentucky scored once in the 4th quarter (with a failed 2 point attempt).

75 yards isn’t exactly a dramatic yardage differential but gotta spin it I guess. Also you’re saying you scored on half of your single digit possessions but you averaged less than 2pts a drive? That’s not weak? Thanks for pointing out that it could’ve easily been 16-7 or 16-8 though

quote:

And for all of the issues we had against Missouri, we finished the game with tactical precision (much like against Bama in the NCG). There really isn't a lesson to be learned for any opposition from the Mizzou game other than to look out for Stetson and the offense with nothing to lose.
.

Implying that Stetson was a significant reason UGA won, or even more ridiculous that they “didn’t have anything to lose” is pretty indicative that you know exactly how bad that game actually looks

As I said, Ohio State has the horses to compete with UGA. They’re one of the few programs that does. Not sure why people would try to argue this

I've watched all of these teams closely all season along.

I don't care how many times the little wolves beat OSU, Michigan can't beat Georgia. No one runs the ball on Georgia for it to be the focal point in the offense. And Michigan WRs do not scare me. OSU has a better shot at beating us on paper.

But OSU needs to play loose and take shots early and often if they want a chance, but if they come out half azzed on offense even just a little bit, it's done. If OSU can grab a 7-0 or 10-0 lead, then I say game on, but they aren't coming back to win from behind, if UGA grabs a 14 point lead at any point in the game, it's done, so little buck i's better hope their offense doesn't come out scared. I respect the talent on their defense, but our offense is an efficiency monster late in 2nd halfs. It could be a good one, but I'm feeling good about it.

I bet it did. Michigan hasn’t played for a national championship in 3 decades. Just imagining it tripped you out lmao

This Michigan team is just NASTY...and we just lock teams down in the second half, for real.

When did this start, Bluekakke?

If they go one-dimensional right out of the gate and focus on slinging it down the field, they're screwed. Alternatively, if Ohio State tries to run the ball, we all know that they're walking straight into a buzzsaw, and they're screwed.

Where did I argue this?

I still fail to see how the Kent St and Kentucky games are seen as weaknesses for UGA.
Those games were never in doubt.

That was my point. Or rebuttal. Or whatever you want to call it.

The game was in jeopardy if that is you saying it looked bad. But they play games for 60 minutes. Not 30. A bad half doesn't mean much.

My compliment to Stetson is that we won an ugly game by being perfect down the stretch. Just like against Bama in the NCG. That is a skillset.

And I still argue that idiots parrot out the Kent St game as an example of a bad performance by UGA. We never punted the ball. We controlled everything about the game. The same applies to Kentucky except for 2 punts.

WTF? Ok, time for some reality for some of you folks. I know many of you Hee Haw's THINK the sec is far superior to the B10, and perhaps past practices have backed you up, but this is the era of NIL. This is the year 2022. The B10 is just as good or BETTER, from top to bottom, as the sec. The constant cheating from the south is now negated to almost nothing!

Right now, the B10 has 3 teams in the East that are just as good or BETTER than the top 3 teams in both divisions of the sec...I know this is painful, I know it hurts, but it's time for some of ya'all to start mentally preparing for this, as soon as possible. Pride always comes before the fall.

The new college playoff format is going to balance things out even further, too. No more tropical BS anymore for every game, no more built in weather advantages. Some of your softee sec teams will get on an airplane in the south and land in Ann Arbor, Columbus, State College, Madison, etc...in DECEMBER! Then, we will truly see which conference is supreme! The playing field has now been LEVELED out.

I saw a documentary on addie that made me really really want to get some. I'm now convinced all my corporate managers are on it. They are non-stop go go go bullshite bullshite bullshite. There's a humming noise coming from their craniums. They are also over-educated millenials.

Reality is you haven’t played for a title in 30 years. And unfortunately just bc you beat your rival who has owned you like 18 of the last 21 times y’all have played — it doesn’t mean shite. You’re going to get rocked by Georgia if you get by TCU.

You are Michigan. Your glory days are 60 + years ago lmao. How could you be a blue blood when you have 1 title in the last 70 years lol. No one gives a frick. Your players weren’t even alive the last time y’all played for anything meaningful in the 90s

I've done enough coke to know when someone is on coke, but they weren't on coke, but is very similar. It has to be addie. There's not enough starbucks to jack them up this way.
