2010 was the only year in recent memory when AU and Bama were both strong. I know the Bama fans didn't like the game that year but that is what the IB SHOULD be year in and year out (competitive).

There hasn't been a true IB game since what 88? Ever since the neutral site even split went away this has been nothing more than another rivalry game. One each school definitely wants to win but nothing more.
I agree the Bama Au game is always at its best when both teams are ranked.

2011 - Our players can't tackle, the corners never play the quarterback, Lemonier is the only linemen getting push, surely Roof will be fired after this and we'll get back to an Auburn defense. It's not like it can get any worse.
2012 -
If there's one thing I've learned these past 3 years, it's that it can ALWAYS get worse.

That's the thing. If the administration doesn't knock this next hire out of the park then it can get worse or stay as bad as it is for the next decade.

It almost got comical sitting in the stands last Saturday. It had gotten to a point where the fans were applauding for a standard tackle.
Im sooooooo far gone with it this season, I cant even focus.

My beer consumption has increased dramatically this season. It's hard to watch as it is. I can't imagine having to suffer through a game sober......

We're pretty bad too but I saw this situation coming the minute Chizik was hired. Then Malzahn was hired. I absolutely knew that Auburn's offense would be successful at that point. When he left for stAte, I had the feeling that unless something drastic happened with the new hires, y'all were going to have problems. I wouldn't blame any of the players or new coaches.
I predicted Auburn to go 5-7 preseason. I really didn't think it would be much worse. I was wrong. I honestly believe y'all would have had a lot more success with Hootie Dale Nutt coaching the team this year and that says a lot. I honestly believe Gene Chizik's that bad.

What's crazy is that Chiz was a respected DC. Then, he becomes a HC and his defenses are year in and out horrible.
So the question is, what does he actually do? Because the defense sucks and the offense sucks.
