If the UF loses to UG and the defense is the reason, he better be fired or Mullen will lose the fanbase. He is already on shaky ground with a lot of fans.

What if the reason is defense, offense, and special teams?

No way Muffin fires his buddy during the season.

Speaking strictly as a Florida fan I see no reason to change. Todd isn't the problem. He's a brilliant strategist, he just to get his recruits in place. We're dealing with significant injuries to our secondary and gosh darnit the kids are doing their best to cover. Firing Grantham would be a mistake.

He may set the Guinness record for most teams coached for in the shortest time span. He is a 1-2 year experiment for every team that gambles on him. At best, he should be a position coach.

it made up for the fact that he was piss poor at teaching young guys how to even begin to play in his system

I remember Bacari Rambo saying his NFL D playbook was less than half the size of the Grantham playbook. Lot's of folks can scheme to stop anything (Grantham included). The good/ great coaches know how to simplify and teach it (Saban). To get 22 dumbass teenage boys to play assignment, handle everything thrown at them, and work in concert is no easy task.

Probably the only way Mullen keeps his job another year.

Coached a guy that played for grantham at UGA. Said the defensive playbook was extremely complicated. Also said there were some talented guys that couldn’t get on the field because of it. Probably why he keeps getting hired. Coaches can understand the calls and checks and are impressed in interviews. but it’s too much for 18-21 year old kids

As a UF alum, I will be celebrating the imminent loss to UGA.

Seems like there is smoke that a mid season firing has/will be occurring. What are y’all hearing?

Les Miles could never pull the trigger and it cost him. How often was that hardhead threatened and warned about the near future? And even after the near-death experience when he was a dead coach walking with the Jimbo talk he still refused to make adjustments.

Dan Mullen surprises me that he looks like his own worst enemy too. My goodness, life is about adjustments, and his job as HC is to make them and keep making them until it works. How complicated is that?

He looks as lost and downright stubborn as the Mad hatter.
