Yeah they are gonna pitch around him something fierce, but he can hit balls outside the strike zone. He gets a ton of plate coverage with his swing. We will see how it goes. He also got a lot better limiting his swing and miss ratio. He was super aggressive in '23 and he changed for the better in '24.

Yeah in my opinion he is the best baseball player ever to play at UF. How good of a career he will have in MLB is yet to be determined.

I will be rooting for him though.

You're probably right, but the Royals actually have some people in the lineup who can protect him a bit. Sandwich him in there behind Bobby Witt Jr and ahead of Vinny and Salvy, teams may not be able to pitch around him. I'm really excited about a lineup with Maikel Garcia at the top, with Bobby, Cags, Vinny, and Salvy following him. If we get ANY production at all from John Rave, Freddy Fermin, Michael Massey or Izzy, we could start scoring runs to go with our incredible pitching.

His first at bat was just barely ran down pretty close to the fence.
