You guys paint perfect targets with threads like this then become cry babies when you get dog-piled.

THe OP went retard on the thread with the intent and the bounties but having a legit discussion about the hit isnt anything other than what normal fans from every fan base would do in that same situation. Quit fronting like that isnt true and that only Mizzou fans would be questioning this hit in the following week with the implications to the teams season and its chances at the SECCG in Atlanta.

Except the ball was already released, so the Georgia player should have stopped trying to tackle Franklin. The release happened right in front of the Georgia player. It's not like he couldn't see it.

"Big 12 Team, Player, and Coach Surprised By the Playing of Full Contact Defense"

There's a headline I never thought I'd see.

Bounty? Come on, guys.

I have a hard time buying into the idea that Richt would officially "target" another player. Maybe the hit was questionable in slow motion- but even still, I doubt Richt would do that.

I didn't watch every down of the Mizzou game- but I know UGA played us clean, anyway.

JMO: In college football it is questionably late since Franklin is out of the pocket, he flicked the ball away underhand at the last second and he's a known running QB. It could go either way.

In NFL football it is without a doubt driving the QB into the ground and a 15 yard penalty.

Look, I've never been one to make excuses, but after watching the replay of the game it's clear we got shorted by the refs. Very badly. I'm now hearing on the radio that Pinkel in slandering our team when the exact opposite happened. I plan on letting them now how I feel through every avenue. I encourage everyone on here to do the same.

The sting must be real from losing to Mizzou by 2 touchdowns at home.

Let them do their thing. We are 6-0. In the drivers seat in the East and have to just take care of our business one game at a time moving forward. They just lost to lowly old Mizzou at home.

I know this, I am thankful for college football and the NFL. I do not want men with that size, speed and strength just wandering around out of work.

Serious.

I am starting to think Mizzou has something to do with the USPS destroying stamps of "unsafe" kids activities.

How does that equate to a bounty?

It doesn't.

This is all dumb. Football is a rough sport. If you don't like getting hit, you shouldn't play. And if you're not aggressive, especially on defense, you're not going to win many games.

But you still have rules for a reason - make the game fair, and keep players safe. Herrera should have been called for the personal foul. But it's over and done, we have Florida in 5 days, and I'm ready to look forward.
