Blake Shelton...

He's not affiliated with OU at all and I've never known him to be a fan even after searching through his Twitter.

So dumb with so many other choices out there.

Don't his songs reference Oklahoma all the time?

In September 2016, he donated $600,000 to the Jimmy Everest Center, a University of Oklahoma College of Medicine hospital for children with blood cancer and blood disorders. This donation followed a pair of Shelton's concerts in Oklahoma City which generated the funds that he donated. Shelton claims he has a personal tie to the hospital as his cousin's daughter Aspen was diagnosed with cancer and treated at the facility.[128] He created the Blake Shelton Cancer Research Program at that same hospital.[129]

He's from ada OK, and still lives here. Most of our musical artists are state fans. Garth, Cross, Zach Bryan and so on.

We had Toby and Kings of leon but I'll be honest I don't know any of their songs.

Should've been Switzer or the Box or Gerald Mccoy

I'm not saying he's not a great guy. I've just never known him to be a Sooner fan. 15 years ago I used to live in his hometown and he used to come up to the local bars and for the most part everyone would leave him alone and he was always a great tipper.

I'm guessing Switzer is too old. Well maybe not with Corso and Saban he may feel right at home.

I used to work across from their building downtown. We had an older lady as our office manager and would complain almost weekly about their building with the front door looking like a vagina.

Shelton is from and still lives in Oklahoma and very famous. He's a fine selection and as good as others they've had. If I had to guess, it's due to Toby Keith dying. Shelton was very close with Keith. Keith played football at Oklahoma. It makes sense

Here are some other selections just for reference

Theo Vonn was the guest picker in the SECCG last year. He went to LSU.

Nate Bargatze was the guest picker for the LSU/Bama game last year. He didn't go to college and is a Vandy fan who lives in Nashville.

Vince Vaughn was the guest picker for the OSU/Notre Dame game in 2023. He didn't go to college but I think? he may be a Notre Dame fan and was in Rudy.

The Rock was the picker for the Colorado/CSU game last year. He's friends with Deion. That's all I got.

Nick Faldo was the guest picker for the Montana/Montana St game in 2022. I got nothing

Luke Bryan was the picker for the UT/UGA game in 2022. He went to Georgia SOuthern for a couple years. He would be pretty comparable to Blake Shelton doing this game

Jack Harlowe was the picker for the OSU/Notre Dame game in 2022. He's from Lousiville and didn't go to college.
