2003: Oklahoma 77, A&M 0 (with 1:53 left in the 3rd quarter)

This still demands payback, in my opinion. No excuse to do that to another team.

I wouldn’t feel bad about that game y’all lost to the 2003 split champions that year. (LSU has the crystal ball though)

Going into that game, Auburn was preseason #6 and favored to win. USC absolutely skullfricked them at Auburn. It would not have been fun to be an Auburn fan that day on the rant.

Underrated game nominee for Georgia. I'll go with 2000 South Carolina, the day where Quincy Carter didn't even look worthy of being a JV high school QB. The amounts of shite we would have gotten on the rant after that game would have made the national title loss look like child's play. South Carolina was 0-11 the year before and UGA was ranked #10 going into the game.

Oklahoma had all of their starters out by halftime and basically stopped running plays in the middle of the third quarter. Stoops rightfully took a lot of shite for running up the score (notably against Mack Brown's Texas teams on multiple occasions), but that was one day where he didn't. Oklahoma could have easily, easily scored 100 that day.

Also, OU took a knee early in the fourth quarter for four straight plays inside the A&M 5 yard line. You'll just have to take my word for it when I say they showed mercy by not rolling up another 4-5 TDs.

Don’t believe this for a second. You run QB sneaks for a quarter and a half if you have to.

We still do.

I still remember Fran having little Nicky shaking in his Nike’s at midfield. Would’ve been a great slap fight if Nick had nutted up. This was more embarrassing than losing to UAB when he coached in BR.

The score was 49-0 at halftime. In the second half, Oklahoma literally ran up the middle every single play. When THAT didn't stop the scoring, they took a knee every play and STILL scored on a fumble recovery to make the game 77-0 in the 3rd. A&M had more penalty yards than total yards and ran 40 total plays. Only two of those drives went more than 3 plays (both went 5 plays)

Oklahoma went to a running clock in the 4th quarter and STILL almost scored.

That’s only half of it.

Jim Fyfe passed away not too long before the game. To commemorate his long time tenure and classic calling of “touchdown Auburn,” the fans in the stadium were led in a new Jim Fyfe “touchdown Auburn!” cheer that we all practiced prior to kickoff. One side of the stadium yelled “touchdown” and the other responded with “Auburn.” Obviously, this cheer was to be performed after each Auburn touchdown in honor of our legendary radio caller.

We didn’t score a touchdown that game.

Or the week after.

I didn’t know these details. Those kids layed down on Fran. That’s sad.

One of the rowdiest games in the history of Williams-Brice Stadium. You couldn't hear yourself for most of that game.

For me it’s the 1994 lsu vs Auburn Jamie Howard interception game.

I was at that game. It was an awesome ending for me but, to this day, I'm still confused. What were they thinking?

No, he mailed it in from the start.

Franchione infamously redshirted all but five players (Earvin Taylor, Melvin Bullitt, TaTa Thompson, JUCO Mike Montgomery and Justin Warren) from the 2003 Freshman class. Out of those players he redshirted, the following were STARTERS in the 2004 season:

DL Jason Jack
OL Corey Clark
FB Chris Alexander
OL Chris Yoder
OL Cody Wallace
DL Chris Harrington
OL Kirk Elder
TE Joey Thomas
DL Red Bryant
DB Japhus Brown

I would have love to read the rant in 1998 when the undefeated Arkansas quarterback fumbled the ball in the rain against undefeated tennessee with a couple of minutes left. If he didn’t fumble Arkansas wins and Tennessee doesn’t win the championship that year.

Man, that's the cherry on top of that shite sundae. IIRC, that was Matt Leinart's first career start too. Obviously, no one knew how good he was going to become but that was supposed to be a huge check in Auburn's favor. Jason Campbell took an absolute shellacking from the USC pass rush.

That 2003 USC defense was amazing against everyone not named Aaron Rodgers.

On the plus side, tell your grandkids one day that you saw Auburn hold Reggie Bush and Lendale White to a combined 10 carries for 15 yards!

LSU vs OM 1997.
We stun ourselves beating Spurrier and his #1 ranked Gators in TS the week before, only to lose to duh webelz at home in a flat, uninspired, difficult to sit thru clusterfrick.

We recover to clobber Kentucky and spank that gump arse in BDS 27-0, then get skull-fricked by ND in TS. Romp Arky and avenge ND in the consolation bowl.

That OM loss stung like a bastard.
And gumps couldn't beat Aubbie to help a brotha out.

The LSU-Aub rivalry was a mother back then. It was a true battle to the final play every frigging game.

The last tie game for LSU and USCe.
That damn game was like a circus performed by Special Olympians.

95 or 96?

ETA: 1995, 20-20. Before OT in D1 CFB.
Also the last time aTm beat LSU. Damn, that was like...15 no 20- well, a long frigging time ago.

Sounds like the 9-6 cripple fight between Georgia and Missouri in 2015. Georgia won but it felt like a loss.
