Do you blame him. Probably told him not to chance his good fortunes of only getting half a game suspension.

Sumlin says he yanked him after the penalty and that he was not going back in the back regardless of what happened.
Sure.

Sure.

Didn't hit the head or neck. Didn't use his helmet
Was the player hit, what they consider defenseless? I was looking at another game and didn't see the play. Again, it doesn't necessarily have to be a hit above the shoulders.

At least you get a win A&M.

Yes that legal hit. Tell me what was illegal about it?
Other than being completely helmet to helmet against a defenseless player 10 yards away from the play, I guess nothing.

Targeting rule didn't exist last year.
Wanna bet?
From 2011/2012 Rule Book
quote:
PROTECTION OF DEFENSELESS PLAYERS AND CROWN OF HELMET ACTION—In 2008, the committee introduced a separate rule prohibiting initiating contact with the helmet and targeting a defenseless opponent. These actions are now in two rules: Targeting/Initiating Contact With the Crown of the Helmet (Rule 9-1-3) and Defenseless Player: Contact to Head or Neck Area (Rule 9-1-4).
The difference this year is the ejection aspect of enforcement.

I'm sure he is. Johnny constantly shows his arse and seems like he has no ability to learn from his mistakes.
But Sumlin can't suspended him. He made a deal with the devil and he has to live with it.

Perhaps you should take a trip to your optometrist.

Wasn't completely helmet to helmet. Wasn't 10 yards away. And wtf does defenseless mean when Murray was the one on defense? Defenseless generally applies to receivera

Wrong, so very wrong.

Jesus Lou Holtz and Mark May need to STFU

when Murray was the one on defense
Some fail to remember that's the case. He was running to the action, and was less than 7 yds from the runner when the tackle on the runner was made, and he was blocked out of the play. And it was on the Bama sideline hash, so he wasn't going to his bench.

WTF Lou holtz doesn't think Sumlin needs his advice? Holtz is always talking about shite he knows nothing about. Why stop now

There was no punishment enforced.

BIRMINGHAM, Alabama -- Alabama defensive lineman Quinton Dial should have been penalized in the SEC Championship Game for his hit on Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray, SEC coordinator of officials Steve Shaw said today. In the first half Saturday, Murray threw an interception and watched Alabama's Ha-Sean Clinton-Dix return the ball upfield. Dial hit Murray with a vicious helmet-to-helmet hit that knocked Murray to the ground. There was no flag on the play despite an official standing near the hit.
"We missed the call," Shaw said.
