I can see playing @ Tulane. Recruiting reasons. No real reason to play at Troy. State has played at South Alabama. Like New Orleans, Mobile is a great place to recruit. Short trip for State. Tulane and USA makes sense. Troy does not

Can you imagine that place for one of their cheap home games against Delaware State or something?
There's only one way to find out...
9/11/21 WVU plays the Long Island University Sharks. They just made the jump to 1AA last season, went winless, and "a month after the season ended, starting quarterback Clay Beathard was stabbed to death in Nashville, Tennessee" is mentioned on their Wiki page.
I assume Pittsburgh is the closest major airport.

You might have more teeth than the rest of the stadium combined if you went to that one.

I'm contemplating a way to justify this road trip to my wife. I had a neighbor that still goes to at least 3 Auburn away games each year and I asked him if he was going to make the trip to Morgantown back when yall played them up there.
His resounding, "frick no" was surprising since I know he isn't the type to usually shy away from conflict with an a-hole opposing fan or six.

I had college friends who went up there for the Auburn game (when we were all still in school at UA/AU). They said it was, bar none, the worst road game trip they took in their lives (and they'd been to Athens, Baton Rouge, Tuscaloosa, etc). All the stuff that gets oversold on rough trips in the SEC is literally true about Morgantown, per them. And they are all very chill and fun guys - not the types to create problems.
We are scheduled to play up there later this decade - I'm pretty sure that is the one I will skip out of Texas, Wisconsin, FSU, Notre Dame, WVU, Oklahoma, Arizona.

I’m genuinely envious of some of y’all’s out of conference schedules. I know Ole Miss sucks right now, but I’d much rather watch us play a Power 5 opponent than a cupcake. Ole Miss finally set up its first year with multiple Power 5 opponents in 2025. We have a lot of scheduling freedom after 2025 and I’m hoping we slip in more years with two Power 5 teams on the schedule, even if the teams we schedule are teams like Oregon State and Wake Forest.
2020: Baylor (Houston), Southeast Missouri, UConn, Georgia Southern
2021: Louisville (Atlanta), Austin Peay, Tulane, Liberty (I hope freeze is still there at that point)
2022: Troy, Central Arkansas, at Georgia Tech, Tulsa
2023: Mercer, at Tulane, Georgia Tech, ULM
2024: Furman, Middle Tennessee, at Wake Forest, Georgia Southern
2025: at USC, Wake Forest, Tulane, Citadel
2026: USC, Western Kentucky
2027: Oregon State
2028: South Alabama

Arkansas:
2020 - Nevada/@ Notre Dame/Charleston Southern/ULM
2021- Rice/Texas/Georgia Southern/Arkansas-Pine Bluff
2022 - Cincinnati/Missouri State/@ BYU/Liberty
2023 - Western Carolina/Kent State/BYU/FIU
2024 - Arkansas Pine-Bluff/@ Oklahoma State/Kent State/Louisiana Tech
2025 - @ Memphis/Notre Dame
2026 - @ Utah/Memphis/Tulsa
2027- @ Tulsa/Oklahoma State
2028- Memphis/Utah
2029 - Tulsa
We have Oklahoma State again in '32 and '33 with another home and home as well. Some interesting games in there with playing Memphis several times and also BYU and Utah. Cincinnati is another unusual one that I'm not sure we've played before.

Hoping that game is either at Gillette or Fenway.

Plus it gives fans a chance to see some cool places. I want to go out to Utah for that one
