That’s not only an A&M thing. It’s a Texas thing. UT does it too. Hell even jerry Jones does it.

I would be if it actually won titles in said sports. Hell I’m a Cowboys fan and I’d love to see #6 come home. Let me put this in Texas terms. The teams mentioned are all hat and no cattle. There’s too many hands controlling the puppets at HC at both UT and A&M. Neither would never stay fully away and let a coach run the show like saban does at Bama.

Olsen upgrades will be legit, but Dudy Noble is ridiculous.

And right now, that’s led you to playing behind the likes of Texas, TCU, Tech, Okie State, Arky, and even lowly LSU. shite, the Southland champ is probably better.

That’s another thing that makes A&M fans unlikable. Y’all are mostly Texans fans. The “other” team in Texas.

For an athletic department that supposedly has unlimited resources, pretty sad to see tamu sell its stadium naming rights for a few bucks.

Yeah, right. Both of the Texas Pro teams are trash.

As a Texan fan, feel free to trash them. That is the worst run organization I have ever seen. Especially when you compare it to the Astros down the street.

Back to A&M. Rogers reported that the Tadlock negotiation was going to start at 1.35 M a year.

This article is from 2019.

quote:

Total basic annual compensation of coaches with teams in the College World Series
Vanderbilt’s Tim Corbin: $1,318,162 (pay for 2017 calendar year, according to school’s federal tax records)

Arkansas’s Dave Van Horn: $1,100,000 (includes $175,000 paid to coach by Easton Sports)

Louisville’s Dan McDonnell: $1,100,000

Auburn’s Butch Thompson: $1,000,000

Texas Tech’s Tim Tadlock: $1,000,000

Florida State’s Mike Martin: $700,000

Mississippi State’s Chris Lemonis: $600,000

Michigan’s Erik Bakich: $425,000

Source: Documents and information obtained from the schools by USA TODAY.

Note: Does not include bonuses or the value of benefits and perks.

This would squarely put the next A&M coach near the top of the list.

Going to take more than 1.35 to get Schlossnagle. Hope Vitello is the next target and we offer just as much …

You do realize A&M hasn’t been anything like it currently is for most of its history. The big bad rich A&M is relatively new.

A&M has always had money, but it wasn't until recently that we decided to actually use it. I expect the next A&M coach to be making as much as almost any baseball coach at the NCAA level, IF it is a proven coach.

We also need to make some facilities improvements IMO

Not even probably. I would take SE Louisiana straight up in a baseball series.

Aggy is what it is. This pack of losers never learns.
